Review
The entire first and second series of the cult TV show. In the first series a group of builders from England go over to Germany to work on a site by day, and do their bit for European harmony and understanding by night. The episodes are: 'If I Were a Carpenter', 'Who Won the War Anyway?', 'The Girls They Left Behind', 'Suspicion', 'Home Thoughts From Abroad', 'The Accused', 'Private Lives', 'The Fugitive', 'The Alien', 'The Last Rites', 'The Lovers', 'Love and Other Four Letter Words' and finally 'When the Boat Comes In'.

Whilst in the second series the likeable Geordies, along with boring Barry from Wolverhampton and Londoner Wayne (played by Gary Holton who died during filming), find themselves in the exotic location of Marbella, following the success of their trip to Germany. The episodes are: 'The Return of the Seven Parts 1 and 2', 'A Law for the Rich', 'Another Country', 'A Home From Home', 'Cowboys', 'No Sex Please, We're Brickies', 'Marjorie Doesn't Live Here Anymore', 'Hasta La Vista', 'Scoop', 'Law and Order', 'For Better, For Worse' and finally 'Quo Vadis, Pet'.

...a saving of £72

presumably a saving against some semi-random price that you would be nuts to pay.
actual saving would be nearer £17 when compared to dvd.co.uk which is still near 50%.
this is a hot deal

Got all these but hot anyway, one of the greatest shows EVER!
#12
These are fantastic, but I personally liked Series 3 the most.

My next door neighbour is one of Jimmy Nail's best friends, so I see him around every now and then.

Oz is one of the greatest British television characters ever, this is my favourite Oz scene.

I thought the second series was the best, I loved the miserable landlord Arthur Pringle and this scene still makes me laugh.

"Penguins, Pelicans and the Inland Revenue all have one thing in common.....

They can all stick their bills up their ****".

Placed an order for this on the 14th, got the disptached email on the 16th.. but still nothing (ordered this and another box set totalling £50).
Delivery from them seems to be gettng slower and slower.. or should I say Royal Mail are slow, which ever.
1st order I placed with Play a few years ago the thing turned up within 3 days, now it takes about a week.. just hoping it turns up soon, as seeing on the website you have to give it 21 days before they look into it!

Has anyone else got theirs yet??
#28
Did anyone actually recieve this ? Mine never turned up and when I e-mailed them they just refunded me. Told me that it must have been lost in the post and they couldn't get anymore- A likely story me thinks!
#29
Not received yet myself, and a replacement sent out for the "missing" one on the 8th. Going to give it til Friday, then email them asking if they sent it recorded as I requested.
#30
This is very odd, I have had a 3 replacement box sets dispatched (suposedley) and all have gotten lost!!! Post never goes missing to my adress, finally got a refund today, and to top it, a parcell I orderd from them 2 days agao also arrived today, did anyone recieve this box set?
I can only assume that they have sent dispatch emails instead of cancellation emails and refunds, but then that doesnt explain why they would say they have sent a replacement when they quite clearly havnt.:x
