I know that in the last few days roughly 99% of deals posted have been at Findmeagift and that the whole online community is sick to the teeth with it, but listed on the site at £10.90 is the aurora colour changing clock. As made most popular by Firebox! what they HAVENT mentioned is that the what they are actually shipping (or atleast did to me) is the Nightlight version which includes an ac adaptor. This tackles the major negative raised in the reviews in that running off batteries the light cannot be made to stay on permanently.

Anyway, firebox sell this version of the clock for £14.95. Tack on the £3.95 delivery and deduct the mandatory £5 code that EVERYBODY uses on EVERY order and you're looking at £13.90. Order from findmeagift, use newsletter5 code and take full advantage of the free delivery and your clock costs you £5.90!

Mine came today, I ordered it last night. In agreement with most reviews on firebox, I actually think it's a nice dinky stylish piece of kit, an I wasn't expecting the plug!

May or may not come for Xmas but a good saving if it interests you even in the slightest!

And here's your link, superDan, but the screed clearly says that if you want the continuous light option you have to separately order the mains adapter. Could it be that they package these with and without said adapter, and you struck lucky because they dispatched a 'with' one rather than the 'without' one that you ordered? In which case the next person may not be so lucky!

I did consider that, but given that they don't sell the nightlight version on the website like firebox do, and on the assumption that they pick up all their stock in bulk and all the items are identical, I reckon they are unaware that they are selling a different version. The product is identical but 'nightlight' is a set. I didn't even notice anything on the box until I opened it. All they did was sent me a box with 'aurora colour changing clock' written on it, and presumably they have a big pile of them somewhere.

Yes - maybe I was lucky but it's far more likely that what they currently have instock is the SET.

It takes 4 x AAA and I don't know how long it lasts but you'd expect it to be a fairly long time, given that it's only lit up for 30seconds every hour plus however many times you 'touch' it.

Cool, well chances are it'll be the same as what I got, in which case you can plug it in and enjoy a nice bright permanent glow :-) Means I can start sleeping with the light off now that my clock will scare away the monster under my bed!

I got nightlight version too, but im disappointed that it doesnt PHASE through colours, it just switches between them.

The Demo mode is too earratic with instand colour changes, it would be neat if it did smooth transitions :(

I feel really dumb for asking this, but how do you set the alarm?

My daughter had one for xmas, and we can't find the instructions-probably got thrown out

I didn't think it would matter - how hard can it be

aaarrrgghh I'm stuck - can change date and time but can't figure the alarm

any answers much appreciated

OK Found it

Hold alarm button down then press up to change hours or down to change minutes

Thanks to anyone who looked
