same here. i dealt cars for over 10 years, wouldnt use anything else.
#3
Hmmm, would I get away with reserving online but paying instore price when picking it up - y/n?!?

Shows at 39.99 on their website...
#5
Looks similar to the "Lifeshine" pack I got free when I got my car last year...great vfm considering most of the products in here go for around £6 each!
#6
Apart from SRP which is a good product, the AG range is plop. Stop thinking you are really looking after your car with petroleum distilates etc etc. Use Meguiars instead - proper care care if you buy AG anyway. That's usually 3 for 2 in Halfords anyway.
#7
Agreed. Meguiars is far, far superior stuff than Autoglym will ever be IMHO
#8
Have been using AG for years, swopped for a while to Meguiars, but didn't get on with it. Much prefer AG! :santa:
#9
Just managed to bag the last one in Hull, thanks op, rep left.
#10
Agreed, Meguiars is better, but AG is okay as a compromise - certainly streets ahead of Turtlewax etc, or, dare i say it, Fairy Liquid.:whistling:

Voted hot, thanks

Thanks for this - bargain. Just rang my local store and the assistant didnt realise it was on sale - reserved one over the 'phone.
Thank you!:santa:
#15
thanks guys
will pop in to take a look
#16
AG is much easier to use than Meguires although car plans wonderwheels sets the standard for wheel cleaning. voted hot.

I just bought the £50 worth of Halfords gift vouchers for £45 to use towards this. Hopefully they'll arrive before my store runs out!
#18
Not sure if this is nationwide, my local store was sold out and said the price was £39.99 when I popped in today.
#19
been in to my local store - £39.99 and sold out ???
#20
Just been to my local store, they had 5 in stock priced at £50. A asked them to check the price £19.99...

Bought 2....well happy
#21
This looks identical, or at least very similar, to the kit that my dad just got with his brand new Audi. So they must think it's good stuff! Shame there's not a Halfords near me or I'd take a trip to get one for hubby's Christmas. Great deal anyway.
#22
Advertised at £39.99 instore in eastgate, Bristol. But after getting a price check at the checkout, I can confirm they are £19.99 :) Thanks OP - heat added. Bought one for me and one for my bro.
#23
Just been onto the store in Leigh Lancs they have 8 in stock at £19.99:-D

Autoglym represent a triumph of marketing budget over true product quality. Meguiars have the most confusing and enourmous plethora of products.

I always refer to independant product tests when deciding what to buy, such as those performed weekly by Auto EXPRESS. Neither Autoglym nor Meguiar's win very many awards in these independant tests. see: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/products/archive/

Very good products!!

i used to use Megs but i find the durability and protection AG offers is much superior to Meguriars.

Although i prefer the likes of Poorboys or Zaino waxes when i can be bothered to buy!

when you are in Halfords pick up some AG EGP ( Autoglum Extra Gloss Protection )

wash as normal, then use Super Resin Polish, buff off then apply EGP. I apply it 2x and it will be beading till Spring

:D

I saw these at Barrack Road, Christchurch, Dorset. They were priced at £39.99 this morning. When I went back this evening the price tag had been removed so I asked the checkout for a price check & it was £19.99, shame it dosnt include Engine Cleaner. Voted hot & bought.

my car is caked, i was going to grab some of that magiers or what ever it was called but the deal wasnt on at my local. i may pop out and grab one of these kits as my car is reall, terribly dirty.

it is my best car and is by far the dirtiest car i have owned, mud bloody sticks to it.

SRP alone is £10
so this is hot for anyone who will use atleast 60% of the items.
the bag is also useful!

Good deal. Just bought one from Aberdeen. They were priced at 39.99 but scanned in at 19.99.
#33

:(
#34
Fantastic! Just bagged two as presents from Wigan. Still on shelves at £39.99, but when scanned came up as £19.99, much to the surpise of the staff.

great stuff, i went to my local hellfrauds and after a hunt i found the gift packs, there were big yellow point of sale next to them saying how much of a saving you got compaired to buying it all seperately, but obviously still at £39.99. i felt a bit of a tit asking the woman behind the till to scan it, especially when she was stood opposite the point of sale, i did say it may be a little chepaer than the price tag.

once the £19.99 came up, she stuttered slightly and i say " jolly good, i will take 2".

grabbed a 2nd as my car share buddy has a car which i think is black but it is hard to tell as it is normally covered in all kinds of farm muck.

she should have a good xmas now, getting her husband to clean both their cars with this.

hot n rep if i already havent.

Reserved online and bought today with my 10% off Halfords Vouchers today :-)

When I asked them if they could scan the item at the till the till person said that I would already be getting it cheaper online (£39.15) but I insisted and she was much surprised to see it scan at £19.99. As was the manager who decided to pick one up for himself as well!
