The only bad thing is it can scratch yur knife may not suit to expensive knifes

i suppose your right - but no good having a shiny blunt knife! - its just i need a knife sharpner and have not very expensive (but stll kinda expensive) knives

Had one of these a few years back, it didn't sharpen my blades. it seemed to blunt the blade because of the pressing down onto the stone.

not very practical to use, I cut my hand while sharpening my knife with it.

if you are lucky you will get your item after 20 days.
they based in china(hongkong)
very cheap but items are very poor
there is coustoms promblem is well

The sharpener is no good for good knife ... 10 quids and above. Sharpen it wrongly will ruin the knife.

However, I order 1 for the garden shear and mower blade... will see how it goes

if you are lucky you will get your item after 20 days. - Are we in rush?
they based in china(hongkong) - does it really matter
very cheap but items are very poor -that is why they are cheap
there is coustoms promblem is well - There should not be custom problems with items less than £17

personally I used DX a lot, shipping is normally within 14 days. Always get what you order, and although the quality isnt great its always (for me) been better than expected.

I bought one of these for about £1 or £2 in 'The Range' earlier this year. All it did was blunt the knife even more and scratch the sides of the blade quite badly. It also became very loose (making it useless) after attempting to sharpen one knife.

Get yourself a sharpening steel instead (like chefs use). TK Maxx do them for £5.

As for 'oversleep's idea, this thing is far too small for anything other than knife blades.

I use Deal Extreme alot as well and some stuff I've had in 7-10days, n thats just normal days, not working days.As said, you get what you pay for, how much do you think postage costs are to send something from Hong Kong to the UK, more or less than £1?

I always buy stuff from them for that reason, the stuff is mega cheap, and free postage, so if you buy something and its £1-5, and it's ****....who cares, what can you really expect for that amount of money send from HK?

Got one of these from our local Morissons a while ago. Don't think the cost was much different. Useless for sharpening, but good at scratching!
#13
very poor item but for a pound what can you expect!
#14
oh i don't think i will bother with one of these then ; (

Just buy a proper wetsone in my opinion. I'm a professional chef btw.

There is one for £1.56 plus £2.70 delivery. Thats £4.26 for a good result. The one I have is twice as big and would be about £7 delivered. Worth every penny.

I use the back of my plates/saucers/mugs which has no glazing to sharpen my knives. That was how my parents do it. Works very well! Would be worried if my knives are too sharp as I'm accident proned. Already cut my fingers several times.

if you cant handle a sharp knife and want to make it safe then use this item! you wont be able to slice butter when youve finished!!! REALLY its awful!!! it does scratch your knife to ******y too but i wouldnt have minded that if it was sharp at the end of it!
get yourself a £2 special from tesco! its the dogs what-nots!

Have to say a blunt knife is far more dangerous in use than a sharp one. :)
