Sorry to be a pain, but its Crowne with an E. Having worked for the company for over 10 years its a little annoying when its not spelt correctly.

I still think the 2 nights b&B with 1 free nights dinner is a better deal for £99

Sorry to be a pain, but it's it's with an apostrophe. Having spent eleven years at school it's a little annoying when it's not spelt correctly.

Personally I think you were right to politely point out the mistake, the search engine wouldn't find a deal for "Crowne Plaza" if input correctly.

Having a Crowne Plaza on my way to work, driving past it 2 times daily I too noticed that Crowne had been spelt incorrectly. It's not a matter of the fact it was incorrectly spelt but more so to do with misrepresenting information to users of this website.

It's like me putting up a post for Asda but spelling it Asdu. For those of you who didn't know the Crowne Plaza brand of hotels are the premium end of Intercontinental group of hotels. So more plush than your average Holiday Inn.

Considering your basic language skills on the Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop (see below), I think you may have some issues there too
"I would rather not go through the rigmoral of posting it for the sake of 80 quid. I just thought it would be nice to allow someone to have a cheap laptop"
"In fact, sod it, if the buyer is a student they can have it for fifty quids"

And............?

I have not made an ****** retentive post about somebody spelling a word wrong that is spelt wrong in the first place, "because it annoys you".

Shall I go back on all your posts? See how perfect you are.

My post was designed to highlight the irony of your post berating anothers spelling whilst maintaining a lower grammatical standard than the poster that you attempted to belittle.

Perhaps you should sort your own English grammer before criticising others' typo's, "2 times" ?!?!, surely you mean "twice"!!.

I have stayed in many Holiday Inns and am normally pleased with the service and rooms , we made the mistake of splashing out for a Crowne Plaza in the summer and were very dissappointed with the service and 6 weeks later i am still waiting for a promised refund for an upgrade that was not provided.
Whilst the subject has changed on here to spelling and grammer see below one of the letters i received in response to my complaint :

Dear Mr *******

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to contact us regarding your recent stay with us hear at the Crowne Plaza Hotel .
After reading your comments I was dissapointed to read the lack of service you received during your stay and can only offer our appologis for this. There is clearly no excuse as to why the executive package was not prepard and presented in your room upon arrival, along with the required amount of bathrobes. I have taken the liberity of passing on your comments to our Front of House Manager for immediate action as it is clearly not acceptable that your requests were not dealt with efficiently and promptly and again I can only offer our sincere appologis for this.
As way of an appology and gesture of goodwill we would like to offer you a complimentary upgrade upon your next with us, were I hope we can restore your faith in our 4 star service. To make the neccesary arrangements for this please contact ***** *******, PA to the General Manager on **************.
Again Mr ******* thank you for your feedback and again please accept our appologis for our failure to provide you with are usual high standards that we deliver at the Crowne Plaza .
Yours sincerley
