Great monitor, 16:10 is very nice :)
I have two.

Pros: IPS, very low input lag, 16:10 ratio, great viewing angles
Cons: Limited/no scaling options - you wouldn't want to connect a 1080p device such as a games console (via HDMI-DVI adapter) because it'll stretch the picture vertically, 6-bit FRC panel (though in practice I don't see any visible sign of this against the 8-bit IPS monitor sat alongside)

Ordered. Cheers ka28)
Thanks for the replies both of you. Likewise my order says 3-5 days from Monday.
just cos it says 1 to 2 months that's a error with most items. if you get that error most of the times you get it within a week or 2 and not 2 months
I got same message, but checking order status says 3-5 days delivery from monday, and £1.36 topcashback tracked already.

Can I use the Net10 code if order for collection of PCW?
Delivery only acording to here. I couldn't see an option either, so I've ordered one for delivery. Got a processing order e-mail and another (at the same time) saying:
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we regret to inform you that you may not receive your order within the delivery timescale indicated on the website. We will contact you shortly to discuss the matter with you, in the meantime please accept our apologies for the potential delay.
Guess that's not good. Anyone else get one like this?

EVGA Nvidia GTX 660 SC 3Gb PCI-E Graphics Card, Amazon £161.61

I've been tracking the price on this for a while and was about to dive in at around £190, when it suddenly dropped to £161 last night (15.05.2013). Just think it looks really good value for a 3GB GTX6…

But light of the fact games are going to push 3Gb of VRAM on the new consoles this year, this amount of memory is now justified.

Are they? I suspect the memory is going to be used elsewhere and is being hilariously misunderstood.
A 1-2gb card can provide plenty of memory for a 1080p frame buffer.

The new consoles ain't gonna be pushing higher and are already being highlighted for more 30fps nonsense.

It's going to be crap CPUs holding us back this time round, not lack of RAM.

You can hold a 1080p framebuffer in less than 32mb. The framebuffer is not really the point or you misunderstand what a framebuffer specifically is. Video memory isn't just about storing a few frames of image data.

There is a lot of uses for video memory beyond the idea that you only require so much memory at a certain resolution, this isn't exactly an accurate representation of how video memory can be utilised in games.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-future-proofing-your-pc-for-next-gen Here you can see developers are cautious about the difficulty in controlling the sort of memory usage on a gaming PC when you have a console with a lot of memory available for video memory a la PS4.

I would imagine that within 18 months, most cards that claim to be half decent are going to have 3Gb of memory as a minimum and everything good will have 4GB+. You run a risk of a less than brilliant PC port from the consoles having degraded performance for want of memory on your graphics board that is only 6 months old.

Right about now, you should get a card with as much fast memory on it as you can, it is a vastly safer bet than coming up short. It just isn't worth the risk if you plan to keep the card a bit, you are much better forking out for more memory when we are on the brink of new consoles with a vast chunk of memory.

You may also want to have a glance at the amount of memory a game like Crysis 3 can use with maximum settings @ 1080p and MSAA. Crysis 3 can easily pull 2GB NOW. That amount is only going to go up in the next year with cutting edge titles designed for a whole new level because of new consoles.
l am not sure there's a point to this card.

The gtx 660 is a good card for 1080p resolution but the gpu lacks power to go much above it and importantly at high resolution is being shackled by the narrow memory bus. This can be seen in benchmarks for the 660 and 660ti that show them being ahead of the equivalent radeon at 1080p or below but falling behind at very high resolution. (1440p or dual/triple 1080p screens).

1080p might very well be sufficient for most but with this specific card you'd be paying premium for 3gb and 3gb is only really useful at high res which is the weakness of the 660. You may as well stick with the cheaper normal 2gb or if interested in high res get a better card.
Well guys, I'm glad it provoked so much discussion for my first post! Deal gone now, and price back up to £199 as sean2390 rightly says.
Thanks to all who commented and have a top weekend....
Back up to £199 now
Why would you have 3GB of memory on a 660?!??

This card won't be able to do much above 2K anyway, so the memory is anything but the bottleneck.

Hardly a deal at all..?

Well, it is a deal, just one not many people think its a good one.
Based this in comparison to other sites, selling it for £60+
Hardly a deal at all..?
just use speedfan and an android app, totally wireless then, heck even a cheapo android phone would be cheaper than that
can someone tell me what the point of these are?
How many things need to control fans?
most cases do it already
most mobos do too

Is it just for the flashy lcd?

I know!! I saw this and thought why not, but to me (aesthetically) I'd prefer the LX :)

Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB for £157.72 @ Amazon

Seems like a bargain price, considering the normal SSD prices are the same for the 240 GB, on ebuyer this is still £270 or so. Was looking at the normal SSD now 200 with the bundle kit on ebuy…

It's cheaper than most, but you can get a 'pro' model with 5-year warranty and proven reliability for only a few pounds more from Samsung/Intel/Crucial. (£170ish).
