Avatar Extended Collector's Edition Blu-ray and Free Blu-ray only £15.24 (With code) delivered @ Tesco Entertainment. Just enter the code 15MAY-1 at the checkout to get a 15% discount. This seems to be the cheapest deal around at the moment compared to the HMV and Play.com deal which are running at around £17.99 and £20.00. Unlike Play.com however this deal seems to have fewer Blu-rays on offer, but a few good ones which haven't been included elsewhere. Don't forget Quidco and TCB at 8.08% bringing this down to £14.00 which is a bargain!

Here is a complete list of the other Free Blu-rays on offer:
- Moulin Rouge
- Memento
- Romeo and Juliet
- The Day After Tomorrow
- Man on Fire
- Alien vs Predator
- Alien vs Predator 2
- Commando
- Sunshine
- Max Payne
- Australia
- I, Robot
- Hitman
- Ronin
- Street Kings
- Transporter
- Transporter 2
- A Bridge too Far
- Robocop
- Die Hard

same here. i called natwest and theres no issue with my card

i had a similar problem. i think it was because i put the issue no in when i didnt need too. then it stores it as a cookie so evertime you go back it remembers it and inputs it for you.

i deleted my cookies etc then tried to purchase from tesco again and it worked

"Collectors Edition" I hate it when they put that, it means naff all! Why would you even want this film unless it was 3D anyway?

Good price and heat added but for me this is not the complete package. I am waiting for the 3d version which is hopefully expected fall 2011.

I think this is good deal - I could flog Moulin Rouge or maybe add Sunshine to my collection at long last! Obivously the film was awesome in 3D, but I just cannot see me ever having the spare cash to splash on a 3DTV and expensive glasses. Perhaps 3D should remain exclusively as an experience for the cinema?

this deal essentially makes them £7.62 each. i presume you have a £10 off code?

For the amount of revenue this raked in - I refuse to pay more than £8 for the Blu Ray because its all profit right now and 16 £ is a rip off.

As always merb0786 your cold votes are much appreciated, but it would be helpful if you could tell me which code you use to get said price. oO

I agree. How dare a company be allowed to make a profit.
They should have stopped charging for these the second
they broke even :|

heads up - for those having problems with the "Verified by Visa" checkout...

...enable "use compatibility view for ALL websites" under options. If you don't, IE9 for example will not display the frame properly. Took me ages to solve that one!

Might seem like a silly question, but have the theatrical cut actually be released in 3D on Blu-Ray?
Not sure why they couldn't release this extended edition in 3D on the first go.

Well it's all rumors but I think it's panasonic has rights for avatar 3d blu ray for a year. So that should end this fall. Then Cameron should bring out a 3d ultimate version to all including extended film. I know someone who has the avatar 3d and it's in a slim silly case with film only. So personally I'd wait. But it all depends if you looking at getting a 3d tv soon obviously.lol

For me it was better in 2D - but I've only seen 3D in cinemas so I imagine home sets can give a much better experience.

Very tempted by this deal ...

I don't want to come off as sounding harsh but filtering for PriceMinister codes in the Voucher section came up with:

£5 off £10+ for 1st time customers

£3 off £10 | £5 off £15 | £10 off £30 | £15 off £45 | £20 off £60 (These tend to cycle in/out of working often but worth a try, I used some of them just over a week ago for some Blu-Rays)

The sellers Gzoop & BaseUK are very good on PriceMinister, used them a number of times now :)

Why is this being reduced everywhere? Is it because the full 3D version is going to go on sale soon? That version has only been available bundled with 3D TV's and Blu-Ray players so far and not on general retail sale ... Still :)
#24
cant get code to work :((
#25
wether its better in 3d than not (id say not, nothing is) if you dont have a 3d tv (or will ever buy one for a dying fad) then a 3d version isnt much of an option.

£15 for 2 blurays, one of which is this collectors edition isnt bad. although i still have the original bluray release (the online exclusive steelbook set with lenticular, book and t-shirt) and ive never watched the film. i mean its from the guy who gave us terminator 2, but he also gave us titanic, another film ill never see.

so good deal, i may go for this only to trade avatar for something else i prefer.
#26
Cheers OP
#27
Would have gone for moulin rouge but sold out, no sale from me, not desperate to own either of them.
#28
ok well i made my order for avatar and ronin.

did anyone else get an email this morning to say ronin is now unavailable?

well this cloud has a silver lining - just ring them and tell them about the situation, because you want that free bluray. they will ask you which one you would like instead, just say any (there all around £9.99 - i said die hard) and they will just give you £9.99 in your e-wallet - so you can spend it on anything you like!

i used it to get the new Gnomeo + Juliet bluray for £5 - so after the 15% code and quidco (which will be on both orders if you go through it) its worked out at £18ish for both Avatar Extended and Gnomeo + Juliet - now that is a hot deal!

Note that e-wallet funds cant be used on preorders, so you would have to buy an in stock item, so anything new is ok. you could wait until next monday and get Paul or True Grit really cheap if you like.

ok so nobody else got ronin cancelled then?

oh well got both avatar and gnomeo + juliet today, good deal for £18.

Ordered Avatar + Man On Fire at 13.26 yesterday. Both have arrived this morning. Superb service!
#32
I keep getting "You can't use that promotional code here.", even with a new account. Anybody else having the same problem too?
#33
15MAY-1 Code didn't work for me on a new account.

I ended up using a 10% "we miss you" voucher at The Hut so got Avatar and Romeo + Juliet for £16.07 - still not bad.
