Or buy something for 2p or over, use the AFFWELCOME3 code (for £3.00 off your first order of £3.01 or over) and after your £2 Quidco/TCB, end up being paid £1.99 for buying it !!

Would not stick this crap on me comp in the first place, as you might aswell not use one.

People say it works ok for me, but they don't know what it's let through on your comp in the first place. people think it is keeping stuff out put it just let stuff through and you don't know about it.

lol..its a good AV.

what do you use then?

AV shouldn't be your first method of defence.. common sense is what's needed on the internet.

My Mcafee is about to expire, was thinking about getting AVG until I read the comments here. How good is MSE and is it user-friendly. I dont always understand some of the warnings that Mcafee come up.

its right about PC shops loving AVG free!

the majority of the virus based repairs I did in my last job were on Windows machines with AVG free installed.
nightmare to remove, easily bypassed by malware, loads of false positives, doesnt update very often, no direct vendor support.

wouldnt put it on a machine if AVG paid me

I like it, this and Spybot S&D have bailed me out a few times.

Need to have a legit version of windows though.
