Antivirus, firewall, linkscanner, anti-spam, email scanner, anti-spyware, identity protection! This has kept my computer safe for several years, much less intrusive than Norton, fantastic deal!

Internet Security 9.0 Complete protection for everything you do
AVG Internet Security’s multiple layers of protection mean you don’t have to worry about identity theft, spam or viruses. It’ll even stop you visiting harmful web pages before you can click on them. It’s faster, smarter security that won’t slow you down.
Most of us rely on the web and email for some aspects of our daily lives. Whether you’re banking, shopping, chatting, sharing photos or downloading new programs and music, remember this – anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewalls are no longer enough to protect you.
Safely bank and shop online without fear of identity theft
LinkScanner for safe web searching and surfing
Safely exchange photos and files over instant messaging and social networks
Safely download music, files, and applications
Email inbox that’s clear of phishers, spammers, and scammers
High-efficiency virus scanner for great system performance

**Note**

This is not the same as the free version, it contains Internet Security as well.

It is delivered on a 2GB USB stick, ideal for those with netbooks etc and no CD/DVD drive.

It will update to the 2011 product when you register it.

If you vote cold, please give your reasons and where you can find it cheaper.

It says this is the 'internet security' version - this appears to be £35 for one licence on AVG's own site - not sure how the RRP is shown as £10 on e-buyer with a reduction to £5.99 but there are a LOT more features - this is hot.

People voting cold are not comparing like with like - this is NOT the free version.

Cheap enough, but I use Avast for free.

This is yet another example of why the voting system on this website is fatally flawed. People with clearly no idea of what they are talking about have been able to vote cold without having to leave in a comment and without finding the item any cheaper.

It may be a rough guide but it's the single biggest indicator of the 'quality' of a deal. You scroll down a list and see something -50' and you think oh well that can't be a good deal. Equally you see something several hundred degrees hot and think yep I'll have some of that.

By that rationale you are dead right: some folk should not be allowed to vote. Surely people should read the post and make up their own mind. In stead of seeing it get hot and having some if it - regardless of need or want.

Kaspersky every time for me. Get yourself a Barclays current account and get it for free.

Sorry, but wouldn't touch AVG meself X)

I bought this for £12 3 months ago, and it was a steal then. This is a red hot price.

Ignore the people voting cold because there is a free version, This version has so many more features.
I just ordered one to put away for when my renewal is up - at this price for 3 licences its too cheap to pass

if you need a new anti virus, I can recommend this one
#25
I thought the point of "deals" was not restricted to just how cheap it was but also how it fares comparatively with others that provide the same or similar product. therefore i voted cold as AVG free version provides the same services that the majority of web-users need, the extras are not worth the extra cash charged. ( Although i use Microsoft security essentials - far less bloated, with Zone-alarm).

Of course for the people who specifically need the extras, this is a hot deal.

Super Hot deal for the average home user especially with a 2gb USB stick worth atleast £4 (7dayshop) on it's own. So £2 for 3 licenses is excellent especially all the extra all-in-one features and no annoying ads compared to the free one..

Personally I find AVG gives too many false positives if you know what I mean (_;)

For cloud computing advocates and a free AV that uses very little system resources, check out;
http://www.cloudantivirus.com/en/ watch the video to see how it works.

Good alternatives: Kaspersky, Avast and NOD32.

Surely not the right attitude. Sure we all like free but here we should be comparing price on a product, this product.

For instance some time ago you posted a deal for theatre discounts, if I took your attitude I would vote cold because I don't need to go to the theatre, I can watch one of my TV's.

If I had voted cold then of course that would have misrepresented your deal wouldn't it??

To those that like or use AVG this is a hot deal especially as it comes on a flash drive which is handy for some.

For every person who says AVG is crap or they wouldn't use it there is another who says Norton is crap and another Kaspersky is crap etc etc there are always going to be a few who hate AVG with a passion but there are probably millions who use it everyday and are more than happy with it, the same is true for the other brands too.

it'll come on the cheapest flash drive possible, no one slightly technologically inclined would ever say norton is good, and on that basis that kaspersky is crap. kaspersky is great for its users, its too large for some like i found but provides excellent protection from my previous usage of it, if you want the best protection with compromise on speed id go kaspersky. (i'd place nod32 along with it from what i've heard).
the fact of the matter is your ordinary users dont need any kind of depth to their antivirus, they just want it to sit there and be invisible until something worth noting happens. id personally recommend microsofts security essentials, and others would say avast, which is also a good free antivirus.
AVG on the other hand is useless compared to the above mentioned in terms of detection rates, false positives, removal abilities, and MASSIVE system usage for the minimalist protection. I'd personally not have an antivirus all together than have AVG, it just doesnt help at all.
Your point about millions using it every day is irrelevant, as millions dont have a clue about antivirus' and dont realise what its doing to their system, people who hate AVG with a passion have a true reason.
now i know ive written a huge amount, i know no one will probably read this, but im doing it because people above me sway the opinion of normal everyday unknowing computer users. dont sit behind your keyboard acting like you have a clue what you're saying when you try to proclaim such rubbish that AVG is a good antivirus (i can prove myself if needs be), because your ignorance over anything may cause someone else to take your advice.
this deal would be cold if they were paying people to use their product, it is almost a virus in itself the way it roots itself in the computer, and hogs every resource available.
if i get one thing out of writing all this its that maybe one person will change their mind about their antivirus, and maybe realise that their rubbish antivirus is actually slowing their pc down, and take my advice about changing. im always willing to reply to any personal messages that people send.

but you dont see the misc section inundated with people saying kaspersky and norton let viruses through. There are loads of threads with people using AVG with viruses.

millions may well be running avg happily every day but doesnt mean they arent infected. AVG is notorious for letting viruses run without the user knowing.

Put kaspersky on an old PC running AVG and it found 3 trojans that AVG free had happily ignored for years!
