I just tried for Orlando in the Summer and it works out as £25 per day, excluding extra drivers etc

Also, they charge £10 per day for Sat Nav - when we hire out our villa to guests from the UK, we rent out Sat Navs for £20 for the length of stay!

Voted warm as it is a good price reduction, but still quite expensive

I just did a quick search for the same length of time I needed, but from tomorrow and the price was £15 per day. Shame really as I would have booked for the summer had the deal covered these dates. They're not very specific about what dates the offer is for :(

I just checked for Orlando for two weeks in May and a compact car is £20 more expensive than expedia quote. Not gonna vote as the deals are good if your scenario fits the bill.

If you go book through Expedia you can get an Avis small car for £113.15 for 1 week.

Some good prices, but a shame for me that Malaga Airport seems to be just about the only location not available in Spain.

As an alternative Money Supermarket's search usually comes up quite good.

Nor Alicante, and if you click through from the offer banner then click the country, the dates you can use this offer for, are shown.

And for Spain, it's basically before end of June.

I'm not so sure about just for June. I tried it out for 10 days during peak time in August at Majorca and it came up at about £165 which is pretty good for a Ford Focus sized car.

I had a very bad experience using Argus in Cyprus and judging by reviews many other people haven't got much good to say about them either.

    6% Quidco too!

What bad experiences have people had with Argus in Cyprus? I'm going at the end of August for 10 days and I still haven't booked the car hire yet so I wan't to know if there's anyone I should avoid!

From what I could see of car hire in Cyprus I wouldn't expect to get the same almost new, low mileage, standard of car that you'd get in Spain.

We used Argus Car Hire, but the car hire company was Europcar, a big well established company and they gave us a knackered old Renault Clio with high mileage, no hub caps, illegal tyres and a service warning light that stayed on. I'd only got about a mile down the road and turned straight back. I had to wait 24 hours for them to give me an average high miler Fiesta.
    THE FLASH
Skiathos is £268 in June for Jeep.

Paid just under £200 last year - chose not to vote either way as this may help someone!

Just checked Orlando over the summer. Its still considerably more than someone like Alamo or Dollar. Voted cold.

    Cheers

I have been looking online as well... if you have an airline FF number, you can get a reduction at nearly all car rentals.. ! So go through expedia and then add your airline code (you will get this from the airline website)..

I used US car hire agency for my booking from Los Angeles 11 days £224 including extra driver and zero excess in case of accident. I haven't managed to find a better deal. That also includes a free upgrade to a Pontiac G6 from compact.
