I got the above, gets some mediocre reviews, think it is the same company, it is backed by Axa. Never used it myself, hopefully it will be a waste of our money. Think there is better recovery scheme's, AA, Red Pennant, etc, but ya pays your money..................................
I am with AXA, broke down at 6-50 pm another Friday evening 2 weeks ago. Rang AXA who said sorry we are busy it will be 90 mins. 3 phone calls later the recovery vehicle arrived .....3 hours and 24 minutes after my initial call. Dont touch this company at any price go with a PROPER organisation. I certainly will in future. Ice Ice Cold Deal !
Anyone with Swinton breakdown best switch now as this is the same cover but much cheaper!!
looks tempting I prefer personal cover does not seem to be available here
If repairs to your car cannot be completed on the same day, we can arrange to have you and the passengers taken home or to your original destination in the UK or Ireland.
That means you might end up at some unknown garage who can charge what they want.If i break down i want taking all the way home straight away unless i'm hundreds of miles away and its a minor repair.

What if it can be fixed at the unknown garage but you can't afford to get it fixed? Surely they've got to take you, your car and passengers home in that situation?

It does a appear a good price, but the subject of car breakdown cover is a big one, and not as black and white as it might seem, and it depends what level of cover you want or need - there are some different options discussed on Money Saving Expert pages, although I don't think this one is mentioned

The AXA cover I had heard of trades as so I wonder how this ties in to that?
Thanks for sharing [B]rma220:)

Just checked my bank account and it looks like axa have credited me the £6 back.
My first installment was taken on the 6th Feb but still no sign of any Sat Nav. I was also sent a letter to verify my details which I haven't done yet.
got my sat nav today (viamichelin instead of navman but i'm not complaining! box shows that it has speed camera location too).

my direct debit was paid on the 10th feb for anybody waiting for theirs. i was getting a little worried as the second payment drew closer. just cancelled direct debit via bank website. i imagine that should be sufficient. axa ask that a copy of the dd cancellation letter to your bank be forwarded to them too, but i didn't write a letter so can't! lol

well worth £6 and a couple weeks wait.

wellfan - i wasn't asked for any id so can't help you sorry.
Were you asked for any documents? Also how is it delivered, Royal Mail or a courier company? Just checked my bank statement and the first £6 was taken on February 11th, some 15 days ago.

to be honest did'nt even bother opening the letter off them ` so dont know if they wanted any,my sat nav arrived by courier paid first installment on the 7th feb and it arrived on the 22nd so just over 2 weeks so yours shouls arrive pretty soon hopefully:thumbsup:
I did'nt send any documents and received my sat nav about 2 weeks after my first payment was taken
