Didn't think this this was to bad, it's cheaper then British Gas boiler cover and also covers you for other items.

Blocked drains, burst pipes, broken boiler - when you have an emergency at home, you can't afford to waste any time getting it repaired. Call our domestic helpline any minute of any day and we'll arrange for an approved contractor to sort out the problem as quickly as possible. What's more, home assistance covers you for up to £1,000 of call out fees, parts and labour. You know there's no need to worry when you can call on our specialist support 24/7.

Luckily AXA was the cheapest for me anyway, even with this added on. Oh and don't forget the £33.60 cashback from TopCashback. In all I got my house and contents covered for £148

It gives you cover for emergency repairs such as plumbing and drainage, electricity supply, central heating and roofing. I used twice over the last year and was happy with service.

Covers up to £1000 in repairs/call out fees

Price offer applies to new policies and is valid for the first year of cover. Normal price £39.99 per year, based on a single payment. Offer ends 4 February 2015.

Is this a separate cover or does it have to be added to AXA household insurance?

I ll recomend Esure insurance and the home emeergency comes free in first year. I am using it and they are brilliant. Last year on 26 december my boiler broke down and there was no ot water at all in my house and they send in couple of hours one engineer from different city which was 4 hours journey from Reading. And brilliant service.

Didn't make no different to me, AXA quoted me the cheapest with the home cover and without the cash back so not going to loose sleep if I don't receive :)

Sheila's Wheels and esure are the same company, just different branding. their quotes are normally within a couple of pounds of each other and they usually (or at least used to) have the same offers.

For years I alternated between them to get quidco and the 'first year' offers on car and home insurance as they always came out cheapest for me.

Exactly, I give up moaning. No one has suggested cheaper alternative yet. Ensure for me is more expensive (even without cover)

I am using same company for last 2 year First year emeergency cover was free and next year it is Only £ 5 for whole one year. I took only Building cover which was £ 80 for one year plus £ 5 for home emergency cover which was fantastic but main thing their emergency cover customer team is great customer focused even last month in my house there was some plumbing work and they fixed and privately it was costing me more than £ 200. So v pleased with esure.

No I did not but you can use it as well if you wish like Quidco OR Top cash back.
