Since Lynx (and it's international name Axe) have had a can redesign, Poundland have all the old design cans (with the removable lid) in stock!

All the 'usual' scents are there including Africa, my OH's fave.

Why pay £2.30 a can in Boots when you can get it for a quid a pop!

I suppose you stink of money more than you do sense.

Axe comes from the same factory as Lynx, it's merely different packaging for an internation audience. The marketing department must've had some reasoning to think that the name Axe would sell better than Lynx.

Companies do it all the time, anyway do they have the Pulse variety? Will probably pick up a few cans to last me a few months. Just dropped £1.80 each on two of the new twist cans.

Ummm nope. Axe is the international name for Lynx. Its called it in America/Australia/NZ/Europe. In fact I think were the only ones that call it lynx.

If you had bothered to read my OP you would have learnt that Axe IS Lynx. If you feel superior enough to not shop in a poundshop, then good for you - you must have money coming out of your ears. I wonder why you post so much here, then

Thanks for all the positive responses - I can't remember the list of scents as I only get my OH Africa, but if it helps, the colours were blue, red, green and orange (orange is Africa).

dont use axe/lynx myself fighting off all those women can be a pain:)
#13
Keep in mind that two cans back the scent was different, they've "updated" it since then.
#14
Good deal. I have seen these in pound shops before and I had also assumed that they were a cheap 'copy'- I wouldn't have been so quick to put it down though!

Well I guess that's my new thing I learned for today, is it the actual anti-perspirant one or the standard body spray (I am assuming it's the latter)? The anti-perspirant ones are on a 2 for £3 offer in Tescos until Tuesday or Wednesday if that helps anybody - quite a saving.

My local Poundland has always had these in stock, nothing new.

I do agree that this is a great deal, but I think your statement saying that if you don't shop in a poundshop you must have money coming out of your ears is a bit much. :giggle:

Picked some up from my local 99p shop at the weekend

Yeah you know you have to keep up with the latest cutting-edge scent technology or else you won't pull. Drunk ***** can smell an outdated deoderant from 50 paces.

(yeesh. Lynx is just another deoderant which happens to have a massive marketing budget and therefore charges a ridiculous amount for a very-cheap-to-make product. there, i've had my rant.)

I've smell tested the Africa and it's as nice a ever :) My OH likes Lynx as it lasts ages - I hated paying top whack for it!

Shame there is no poundland, near me :0(
i bought 2 cans of lynx today, 2 for £4 in boots, But i would have prefered to pay £1 a can, and have a different name.

Lets actually avoid the point that this stuff stinks like a tarts handbag! :r

If Lynx Africa is good enough for Alan Partridge, then surely Axe Africa is good enough....to smell like a tarts handbag?!!! :p

Used to use Lynx a long time back.Java was my favourite then.
Good deal :)
#26
anyone know where these "drunk slags"are ?:giggle:

It is the international name - about a week ago I was in Spain and it was called Axe there - it's exactly the same as I brought Click.
