not sure if this is a great deal or not but very cheap for a non reference R9 290 only has 90 days warranty though and not sure if you have to pay P&P

Nice card but 90 days sets alarm bells ringing. Not sure but I think these cards come with a 3 year warranty

Warranty still covered directly with the manufacture which should be 2 or 3 years.

It's around £100 saving over the cost of a brand new one....is it worth it? For me I was going to go for £116 on a R9 270, then I saw an R9 280 for about £160, which is overkill already, do I need a 290, no, not for 1080p gaming, should I push the budget by another £60, well I suppose games look much nicer with AA turned on full... Too many decisions!

First 90 days is with ocuk, the remainder of the 3 years is directly with gigabyte, doesn't make a difference really, beats buying from eBay.

And lol at comment about ocuk's stock being b grades. Where did you get that from?
Personally I think their CS comes after amazon's, quite pleased when I've had to use them.
Their pricing and postage cost might not be the best but you can't have everything ;)

If you look at it how I do, you can save money depending on how often you want to upgrade; invest £200-300 and it'll last you 2-3 years, invest £100-190 and you will most likely be outdated within 2 years or less

A 270 isn't enough 280 at a minimum well dependant on games. Frame rates for 270 weren't good enough when playing Titanfall

with next gen ps4 ports on there way i would go for the 290 that should play every ps4 port made.

I have a r9 290 and everybody says its overkill for 1080p but I still have loads of game unable to run maxed out at 60fps.

You are joking right? You need nothing remotely that fast to play PS4 ports.

keepitonthelow - seriously? What in the rest of your rig - I'm interested as I want to replace my aging Q6600 and was going for an i5-4670k coupled with a R9 something....

I have this card and I don't have any issues playing any game on full graphics. I have always found that AMD/ATI cards (and I have had many) do suffer when vsync is active feels very very sluggish and laggy. I5 3570k, 8gb ballistix 1600 ram, sata 2 ssd, z77 board, rig is nothing special apart from the gfx card. I would buy this in a heart beat..... Hmmm 2 r9 290's or divorce...
