Just a heads up, as I didnt know about it.

My Mum was shopping in B&Q last Wednesday and when she took her purchase to the till they offered her a 10% disocunt card. She had to proove her age and now if she shops on Wednesdays she can use her card for 10% off.

I changed this to a deal rather than a voucher chas76, as it's not an actual code :)

Over 60s also get money off days at the big garden centres and Focus as well I think . . .

My Mum keeps a list of what she gets on what days!!

Been around for a few years this one, but any money saved is a good thing!

Me ol' Pa goes to B&Q on a Wednesday to stand around and get in the way. Power to the wrinklies!!

Thanks for that Kimburlee my Mum only turned 60 last month....to be honest I think she was a bit put out they offered it to her, as she likes to think she's good for her age bless her!!

I shall tell her about Focus and tell her to ask at the other places she shops too.

B&Q recently changed the way they apply discount on items. They now give 10% on the Total amount as opposed to each item.

I went there a month or so back and bought some spare bulbs for the christmas tree. They were reduced down to 1p each. It was only when I got home that I discovered a flaw in applying discount to each item.
10% of 1p is 0.1p which rounded up (otherwise its less than 10%) is.. you guessed it 1p. So the 5 packs of bulbs I bought were FREE.

I didn't know this, so thanks - will let my mum know (just in case I need to buy anything:thumbsup:)

I managed to go to B&Q last night, picked up the over 60's card and bought all using it.
I'm nowhere near 60 yet and only look like 21 :)
The card does not need to be authorised and works straight away.
Just sign a name on the back and tell them (if they ask) that you are buying on behalf of your mum or dad.
