Just got back from B&Q (Bilston) where I picked up a 10 litre pot of Crown Matt Emulsion. I got Magnolia but probably had Pure Brillant White too. Online you can get the 10 Litre Pure Brillant White but can't see the option for home delivery.
Sorry, don't have a direct link but a search for Crown 10 litre should bring up the item

bought this when it was on offer last time, goes on well, although when it marks it doesnt wipe clean...

matt is not meant to be wipe-clean. you want a silk finish for that.

Just base coating walls with it now. Fairly good quality paint for the price and covers well as long as your not covering dark colours. Matts not meant too be wipe clean unless otherwise stated. Dulux matt has a wipe clean matt and its on offer 3 for 2 at the mo at B&Q.

Isn't it always this price?

I thought so too

Got this when i moved into my flat cause i ran out of dulux white and got to say it is nowhere near as good... i would personally never buy this, even if it was half this price... kinda weird though cause would of thought crown would be alright

Yes its usually this price but its not always a regularly stocked item in all stores. Some store only have it on promotion now and again. Admittedly i would have to agree the dulux 10 litre is better quality in my opinion and about 17.48 in stores for a 10 litres. This is still hot, just used it today with now problem at all. 2 coats job done. Hot.

I bought this Crowne paint on a £10 deal and after 3 coats on my newly plastered ceiling it still hadn't covered it properly and probably would have needed at least another 2 coats. I decided to go out and buy some Dulux paint which covered it in one coat. These cheap deals on paint are not worth it in my opinion.

Rubbish paint.

Just tried to do a bathroom & bedroom with it.

3 coats on each room & still had to go over it with another paint in the bathroom.

Don't bother & buy yourself some Dulux One Coat Matt White which they are selling at £14.50ish

Works out the same ish on money & takes a fraction of the time.

I can confirm this is rubbish paint! its okay for watering down and using it as a base for new plaster

Think we got the same stuff from B&M a little while back for £7, it was also Crown but it's crap, hasnt even covered magnolia properly in our place!!

I wasn't sure wether or not I was suppose to prime an already painted wall although that was many years back. I''ve already painted the wall 3 times, and still not as good as it should be, this was on dark green paint, so similar to the above peoples coments, thought crown was a decent paint product, so your better of buying dulux as it will turn out much cheaper. I paid £13 for a 10 L tube which was about 3 weeks back

Guys you not comparing like for like here. Do not judge one manufacturer's one coat paint against another's basic Matt. No standard paint will cover fresh plaster well. Either add water to make it go further or buy an obliterating emulsion which is designed to cover new plaster work. There's lots of science in paint believe it or not, just because your going over a similar colour it doesn't mean you can expect coverage in one coat.

I agree with fewie this is not a one coat paint and you cant expect miracles from a £1 a litre tub of paint. Used it yesterdays on just painted walls on soft fawn ( Light choc brown colour) and it covered perfectly after 2 coats. If you are looking for something to cover first coat then dont buy this. I can only tell you from my experience. Also unless your basecoating wall matt is not ideal for a bathroom this paint is not wipeclean, moisture resistant and will eventually be affected by steam and grease in the atmosphere. Anyways cant please everyone. Thanks for post.
