DH's b'day last week and his dad bought him the drill - I'm the one who does all the DIY in our house!

Plus, it didn't come with any drill bits! Maybe he'll get those for his next birthday!!!

Anyway I bought x2 to get round the £5 del charge. Just have to shift one of them...

It's just a drill - with an oversized handle.

My bf wants a drill for his birthday which is in 2 weeks... Is this all I'd need to get?? Is it cordless? He wants to be able to use it as a electric screwdriver too??
#10

This is a mains powered drill...not cordless.
This cannot be used as an electric screwdriver.

Just gone to B&Q in Leeds (killingbeck) and bought one.
Website said none were in stock in any leeds branch but they had at least 30 plus on display, why bother with delivery costs when you can collect for free yourself ....

710w for a corded drill is underpowered. Get a decent cordless Li-on Makita / Dewalt - then the cheapest SDS high watt hammer drill you can find. I got a 1500w corded hammer drill from Aldi and it cuts through just about anything including 1inch thick industrial floot tiles. 9/10 applications you will use the cordless anyway.
