Shame there's no easy way to search the internet for information by typing key words into some kind of text box. Somebody could make a fortune if they invented such software.

I can confirm it, but the price is store specific - in Belfast B & Q out at knocknagoney had the starter sets for £25, then the next day I was in they were £10 and I bought 2. 2 days later I was in the Boucher Road branch and they were discounted to £75! Lol

The starter set is, one touchscreen remote (backlit) which can control a range of devices (sockets on/off, security timer functions, central heating, mood settings, dimmers up and down, you can even unlock doors lol - all dependent on the extra hardware you buy) it also offers basic tv/DVD/sat etc control. Two remote double sockets, one dimmable 400w switch, and a keyfob remote with on/off function. It's cheap for what you get, could make profit on eBay I suppose. I haven't installed mine yet, but the only thing that put me off them and ruins the look of the stainless steel sockets/switches is the White plastic surround that has the rf antenna in looks a little crappy.

One other thing - as I haven't installed them I can confirm this but they don't look to, and the manual doesn't mention the sockets/dimmable switch having manual over-rides/buttons, so it seems like to operate them you always need the remote. For this price it's a small problem, but annoying all the same - I guess that's what the remote keyfob is for? I'd probably know better if I could get off my **** and install them. :p

I have these and will probably pop down B&Q after work to get more. The Master controller is very useful as it also contains a timer function enabling you to switch lights etc on whilst you are out. There is no manual switch on the sockets themselves so you have to use a remote.

Thanks for confirming that, one other question - in the manual it mentions a learn button/switch on the keyfob to pair it, but I can't see it anywhere? Mind you - I can't see how to change it's batteries either! lol

What are you pairing it with? If its wall sockets then I think you push the button on the socket then you push the on button on the key fob.
To replace the batteries you prize the 2 halves apart

I haven't plugged any of it in yet, so nothing, I was just flicking through the manual. Thanks!

The home easy products are all fantastic - I didn't see this posting but happened to be in B&Q and wanted some more plugs. Now resolved lighting problems in the kitchen. I have them in every room as I prefer small lights to ceiling lights. My electric bill is significantly reduced too!
