Nice price for spec, forks alone would cost about 150

There's room to move the saddle up and down depending on how tall you are!

Not bad spec for the price. More for canal path riding than actual mountains or bike parks though.
If you need something smaller and more aggressively I suggest looking at this;

No argument from me another great price and well spec bike...
#13
Is white the only colour ?
#14
I'm not an expert on mountain biking I must admit but it looks like a well chosen spec at a great price. Bargain if its your frame size. Voted hot.
#15
Yeah it's definately good for the money, rockshox forks on a £400 bike are unheard of in recent years,
Probably a good bike to get into mtb'ing in a years time could always get an expander ring on the rear cassette and run it as a 1x10 gearing rather than 3x10, make it simpler.
#16
I'm just shy of 6ft, would this be ok for me size wise?
#17
Voted hot.

Some advice would be appreciated please!

This bike or the below Calibre Two.Two?

I'm just starting out so an entry level mountain bike around this price is ideal. I doubt I'll be throwing it down mountains any time soon but do plan on riding woodland trails and country parks.

For me the rockrider has the better spec so I would go for that one

Why would this not suit bike parks or actual mountains?

I have ridden actual mountain BITD on a steel ridgid MTB with cantilever brakes, and ridden trail centres on a ridgid cyclocross.

The bike has solid Deore gears, hydro brakes and a suspension fork, it should do fine, it won't be the lightest, it's not full suspension, but I imagine it will last if looked after.

U WOT M8!!?

If you think a hardtail with 120mm of half-decent suspension can't be ridden on any red route you need to up your skills. I've been riding a 120mm hardtail for years it's only got Raidon air forks on. If you think you need massively expensive gear you're plastering over your own failings. 20 years ago everyone was happy as larry with with simple spring loaded forks and managed to ride everything they ride now.

You want a proper bike, a road bike like that 'Wiggo' being a roadie is sooooo much cooler than riding MTB.

I've received an email from them today saying they're awaiting stock and my delivery is likely to be delayed, doesn't fill me with hope

Yea, got the same one yesterday afternoon. Fingers crossed and all that ;)

Edit: Just checked and they took the money today, so actually looking likely that we will receive our orders!

I'm looking to get into MTB. However something off road and occasional road.

Budgets personally upto 700ish. I've been looking at the diamondback heist 2.0s (purely for looks - ha).

Anyone have recommendations? Thanks!

Received mine Friday, been out on it briefly today and it's a quality bike, was definitely worth the wait!
