Based on the famous B&W DM601 S3 bookshelf speakers, this limited edition 601DPM features the same high-quality drivers and cabinet construction, in an exclusive "DPM" finish.

DPM stands for Disruptive Pattern Material - it's the colouring commonly associated with army fatigues, as used by the military for camouflage.

Apart from their striking finish, the DPM601s are in every way the same as the original DM601S3s; a high-quality woven Kevlar bass driver delivers powerful, tight bass lines with less distortion than conventional materials and the high-grade tweeter (utilising the innovative "Nautilus" tube design derived from B&W's world-famous 800 series) ensures superior imaging and detail.

If you want quality speakers and a style statement in one, these B&W 601 DPMs will uniquely satisfy.

A genuinely good speaker completely ruined by the "colouring" - what a shame. The speakers don't need to hide in Iraq.

You can always paint them

I stick with my standard 602s. I am surprised B&W would make something like the above, I can't understand who it is aimed at? People don't spend serious money on speakers unless they want it to look classy in my experience.

These look cheap and tacky.
B&W do decent sounding speakers.
Why on earth did they choose this colour "scheme" ?!!

Voted hot as the deal is good for some classy little speakers.

BUT.. my god these are ugly and I'll stick with my 805's :P

I'm surprised at B&W. They've always been associated with creating really stylish speaker designs, this is just garish :S

But voted hot for the fantastic price on a pair of brilliant (and I mean brilliant, if you can listen to these setup properly you'll know what I mean) speakers.
