Nothings as good as GHD...........
These are OK.
We have GHD's in the house as well and they are better but also five times this price.
Claimed on their 5 year guarantee after 18 months heavy use and a new set arrived three weeks later.
these are just as good as ghd if not better when you take into account the price
price is good, just not comparison,
these are just as good as ghd if not better when you take into account the price

You dont fill me with confidence when you say 'when you take into account the price'

nothing I have seen gets close to GHD. A 5 minute job with GHD's usually take 25 with something else

You cant put a price on quality and results.
Good set - I paid about £25 a while ago for them. No matter what the results I would never pay £100 for GHDs. Rip-off. They might be better but you are paying an extra £50 on top of their value for a name
GHD's are great, and I don't believe anything will ever be as good, but I'd love to be proved wrong. The only thing with GHD is trying to claim through their warranty which I'm currently trying to do - also if they eventually decide not to repair and class the fault as "wear and tear" within the warranty you have to pay to get them sent back to you which I think is absolutely ridiculous - plus the costumer service wasn't very helpful. It's a lot of money for something that will eventually break and may not get repaired. Check out the consumer forums.
I love my GHD's and had this conversation last night with my hairdresser who also uses them. Nothing can compare to them but if you don't have the money to buy them then buy what you can afford such as these and with a little persistance they will do a good job.
If I have a choice and the money again I will always buy GHD.
My sister tends to bulk buy these as she can be heavy handed with straighteners so they don't last her long.
I have these and when you are using them the on/off switch is easily switched off while holding them. i also bought the bronze babyliss ones and they are better. They were on half price at argos for £37.00 much better and just as good as my ghd's which seemed to blow up a few days after the 1 year guarantee......BRILLIANT
Just ordered the Bronze Babyliss ones for £37 from Amazon(bargain as they are £73 in Argos).....always used GHDs in the past but recently bought the hot pink ones and they are absolute pants, they only reach 180/190 degrees temp unlike the older mark 4s which reached 230 degrees. Cant do a bloody thing with them and i have fine hair. All new GHDs now only reach 190 as they have had problems with a few catching my opinion is if you need a new pair of straighteners ditch the GHDs.
