The Babyliss Pro Perfect Curl is NOT THE SAME THING as the Babyliss Curl Secret (loads of places sell the Babyliss Curl Secret)

Babyliss only have 12 official, approved wholesalers who are allowed to distribute the Babyliss Pro Perfect Curl.

Of these 12, Sally is by far the cheapest since they stock it at £119.99 including free delivery. For comparison, every other supplier sells it for £144-165, and most will only deal with the "trade" (i.e. beauty professionals and hairdressers") rather than the general public.

IMPORTANT
Sally have the following note on their delivery page:
"We are currently experiencing a high volume of orders and we don’t want to disappoint, therefore we are bringing our last delivery date for Christmas forward to 4pm Friday 19th December. Orders placed by 4pm on the 22nd December could arrive by the 24th December but your order may arrive after Christmas

If you want your order before New Year you need to place your order by 4pm on Tuesday the 23rd of December."

That is the "BaByliss Curl Secret" which is a completely different, lower-end model and can be picked up for £80 at Tesco right now

I have been intrigued in the pro one. Do salons really use these? They seem gimmicky to me. Think i'd make a mess whatever!

Hot anyway :-)

Does any one know if these are any good if you have got uber long hair?

I've got the normal ones, not the pro, used them last night and wow, love them! I've got quite long hair and they were fine, and I think it would still wind a bit more in. You don't want to curl all the way to the root anyway, you need to start a little further down for it to look best. Not sure what the advantage of the pro ones would be for light at home use?

There's been a bit of discussion of the difference between the "Pro Perfect Curl" and the "Curl Secret" in the other thread. Might be worth taking a look there if you're thinking about one or the other...

Again, that's the Babyliss Curl Secret NOT the Babyliss Pro Perfect Curl.

That's like comparing:
- a Core i5 to a Core i7 processor
- A DVD to a Blu Ray
- A BMW 3 series to a BMW 5 series
- A PS3 to a PS4
etc.

They are NOT the same thing!

I've used one of these in the salon, and from a professional point of view it worked ok, but it's a bit gimicky and I would find it easier and quicker to use a half decent ceramic tong for about a sixth of the price.

Also, I wouldn't entertain shopping at Sally as they tend to operate a 2 tier pricing structure, one for professionals and one for members of the public. Saying its 'Pro' means nothing.

Sally IS their "members of the public" site. Their professional site is Salon Services, and the price is identical there as you'll see in the breakdown I posted above.

Please don't patronise me, and other people on here. It's a waste of money, and obviously the people have spoken! Lol

Purchased .. Thanks. Want the pro one as it has more features (3 heat settings, reverse and longer lead).

Iv only used the normal ones but paid more than that for those when they first came out my hair is (well was :-() really long - to the bottom of my back and although it wouldn't curl the full length as long as it's not right from the root it will do a fair length :-)

This is the PRO not the secret which many are getting mixed up with. I bought these, great price and thanks for posting.

I agree with some of these comments - people think this is the curl secret rather than the pro.
This is an excellent price for the pro - which gives you an extra heat setting to the secret and the ability to alternate the direction of the curl which looks a lot better on some hairstyles.

ffs lets all compare a mini and a bentley price why not. Both have tyres and go a2b so sure good comparison.

Genki nobody wants to take the time to read your post and consider it correctly. Clearly had too much bucks fizz or white lightning...
