Hi
Im building a pc, and the motherboard (MSI 915G Neo2 platinum) does take ddr2 memory but iv been having trouble getting it working with the faster speeds i recently bought some OCZ 7200 900mhz memory and that didnt run on it so im wondering will these work???
in the manual it says it supports 533mhz, and also is there any other way to check what my motherboard supports as my pc isnt up and running yet. LOL

Not to dispair though - I think you'll find that laptop ram is now cheaper than desktop! Out of stock at the moment, but keep checking back at: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/111436

Its Corsair value Ram, but considering you can't overclock laptops (and even if you could it would be pointless due to excess power consumption), it should perform as well as any ram of the same spec.

I wouldn't go by the Crucial memory compatibility thing myself. I've known it to be wrong.

The only sure-fire way to get the right memory is to take out your existing memory and take down all the reference numbers.

or just install CPU-Z and check the memory type?

The price looks wrong since even with google checkout it's assuming free delivery which doesn't apply until £90.

Go on to crucial and do the test again and see have and copy the area of your system:

Currently installed memory:

512MBDDR PC3200 EMPTY

Each memory slot can hold DDR PC3200 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.*

Whether its DDR SDRAM or DDR2 is the deciding factor. This is DDR2.

Will this memory work with the 1333Mhz bus that Intel are about to move too? In general how do I know which DDR2 memory will work?
