I think it is rubbish as I don't have a printer so can not print the vouchers when they say they owe me such and such amount or this £5 voucher.

ok if you have 2 days spare to stand in the queue at customer services

Your bill must contain 8 or 9 ( I can't remember the exact number) different grocery items and 1 of these must be 'comparable' in their comparison system for you to get the £5 voucher so beware! You can't buy a few bottles of wine and get a voucher!!!!!

yes i agree with you our printer is out action - if they going to do an offer like this they should make it fair and just give you a voucher when you spend over £40. didnt even get a bunch of flowers of asda when one of their employers banged my ankle with a pallet (luckilly nowt broken) tight!

Some of us have family's to keep and feed. £80 doesn't go far....especially at this time of year with the extras you pick up.

Only so many smart price beans and sausage we can tolerate in a week. oO

Did this, think it's rubbish how you only have a week to use the £5, some families only do a monthly big shop...

where do you normally print stuff that you need to print?

you can get inkjet printers for like £20 these days and a laser for £50 (mono) and a colour laser for £100

im sure if your spending £40+ on a weekly/fortnightly shop then you will easily have 8+ items and atleast one item which is included in their comparison system. if you are that bothered about your £5 off £40 voucher then go to customer service as many have said and benefit from it. can't complain about this as asda not only match other supermarkets but also gives you 10% cheaper if it isnt and also £5 off £40 which is up to 12.5% off depending on how much you spend. surely this promotion makes asda the main choice for people's weekly shop for price unless of course an asda store is too far away to make it cost effective

Sounds good I spend bout £130 a week on shopping so get 3 £5 off if put it through in 3 lots. Thanks :-)

You can't get the voucher the same day as you shop. It has to be the next day at the earliest.

I'm certain I've read somewhere you acn go to CS desk and they'll print the voucher off for you...........

It does seem unecessarily complicated. Sainsbury do a price comparison and give you a voucher at the checkout for the amount that you would have paid elsewhere.

If you do a shop then take your receipt straight to customer services will they give you voucher on same day? just wondering if I could do £40 shop get voucher then go back in and do rest of shop and get another one for next time. I live 45 min drive from Asda but sometimes go if I go for a day out/ shopping but obviously not worth me getting one and going back next week, £5 taken up in diesel!!
#24
I understood from the checkout lady if you spend £80 you would get two £5 vouchers, it is worked out in multiples of £40.

No you can't, it has to be after 6am the following morning. You don't get 2 vouchers unless you split it but you CAN use 2 vouchers if you spend more than £80 though.

Come through my checkout with two lots of shopping trying to use two vouchers and I won't take any

Beware - all customers who do on-line shopping with Asda - check your bills manually as Asda manage to overcharged me with their on-line calculator, it was the first time I actually thought of manually calculating and discovered that they had and over-charged me. I wonder how many customers this happens to besides late delivery, items being delivered that are on their sell by date and bags blown the next day as well as items you order and pay for but don't actually receive on a regular basis - no wonder the people's champion Asda are raking in vast millions of our hard earned wages. Woe betide anyone who emails with a complaint as you get zilch in customer service - Asda does not 'do' Customer Service. Tyr Sainsburys - absolutely fantastic on price and custome service.

The form to claim the £5 for spending over £40 is 'hidden' somewhere on your website. I have been searching to claim but cannot find the form. Not helpful. Especially as you are making so much of the offer.
#32
why not just give the voucher to the customer
