Does anyone know what PSI this model goes to? I want one for pressure frying chicken but need 12psi minimum to make it worth it. Yes, I know the risks but there aren't any if you do some simple maths.

EDIT: It looks like this is the same as the Tower one in Argos, but £5 cheaper. A lot of good reviews.

So, what exactly are the advantages of a pressure cooker? I've never used one.

Fast cooking and the quality of the food thus cooked (for the right foods). You cook foods in liquid or curries/stews etc and because you've got a sealed lid (with safety valve) the pressure builds up and the liquid boils at more than 100 degrees C, hence faster cooking and tender meat. BUT not suitable for everything.

I would strongly advice against those aluminium pots (and especially pressure cooker). A stainless steel pressure cooker is frequently on offer in Aldi or Lidl for £29.99. It's worth the extra money for your health. (and don't cook in aluminium foil either). Of course it's not "scientifically proven", but no aluminium pots are sold in the rest of the EU (just in the UK). Wouldn't this make you think?
