UPDATE 9-JAN - Dear Customer,

You are receiving this email because you have a paid pre-order for a Teclast P76Ti from stock batch #1.

We have received stock and would have been ready to ship your product today if not for a small problem.

The Teclast charges from it's micro-USB port only. For this reason Teclast do not supply a charger with the tablet, they expect you to charge it from a PC or laptop. We agreed with our supplier to have a normal wall charger added because this is more convenient for our customers.

On arrival we were not happy with the quality of this charger.

So today we have sourced an alternative charger from a UK source. We have just collected stock of this charger and so now have both the tablet and a high quality charger ready for shipping.

The charger you will receive is this one:

Your tablet will go out tomorrow. Expect an email late afternoon with the parcel tracking number.

Apologies for the delay.

Simon

UPDATE 7-JAN 2:20pm - Pre order batch #1, with despatch certain for 9-JAN, has sold out. All pre-orders are now for pre-order batch #2, and are indicated by [batch#2] after the item title in the Paypal shopping cart. Batch #2 has an estimated despatch date of 16-JAN. We take full payment up front for all the pre-orders, it's difficult to get Paypal to operate any other way. But if you want a refund at any point between placing the pre-order and your item being despatched just email us and we'll get it done quickly. Thanks for all the interest!

With the now legendary Novo 7 Advanced having ceased production in favour of yet to be released future models, we looked long and hard for a suitable replacement. The Teclast P76Ti is that tablet.
The Teclast P76Ti's specifications are near identical to the Novo 7 Advanced. It uses the same powerful Allwinner A10 processor with Mali400 graphics, it has the same 5-point capacitive display, the same RAM (512MB) and storage (8GB), and it has the same long battery life. Where it differs is in thickness (2mm thicker), the lack of a rear camera, the lack of a remote, and that it is white. Oh, and there is one important difference.. It comes in at an even lower price!

If you want a fast and inexpensive 7" tablet then the Teclast P76Ti is it!

NOTE: Please for the love of all the Chinese workers, lets not have a debate about ChinaTabs vs BrandedTabs, honestly everyone wants something different, lets not force opinions!

Powerful CPU with Mali-400 graphics The Allwinner A10 processor has revolutionised the tablet market. It runs at between 1Ghz and 1.5Ghz depending on workload and delivers incredible performance at a low price. The Mali-400 graphic co-processor is proven to deliver a high level of graphics performance, whether 3D or 2D. Together, the Allwinner and Mali-400 combine to deliver perfect performance for gaming, video, Flash or indeed any other Android task.

7" Multi-touch Capacitive Display The Teclast P76Ti has a 5-point multi-touch capacitive display. A capacitive screen has much better responsiveness than the cheaper resistive type and is the type found in the iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. etc. The screen in the Teclast P76Ti is 5-point multi-touch, allowing you to make maximum use of all five fingers. The 7" screen allows the tablet to have a highly portable form factor and is perfectly adequate for web browsing and watching video.

Flash 11, Android Market Our Teclast P76Ti is supplied with Android Market so you can easily access and download the Apps you want. It is also fully compatible with Flash 11, giving you access to all the video heavy websites you would want. Sites like BBC iPlayer, 4OD, ITV Player, Sky Player, Youtube. etc all run on the Teclast P76Ti.

512MB RAM and 8GB Storage Unlike many cheaper tablets the Teclast P76Ti has 512MB RAM, allowing more Apps to run and for those Apps to run faster. 8GB of internal storage is provided which can be easily upgraded by MicroSD card up to 32GB. Altogether we think the Teclast P76Ti has the perfect balance of RAM and storage for a multi-purpose tablet.

Front Camera The Teclast P76Ti has a front camera for webcam use. This allows you to video call in Skype or similar applications.

Wi-Fi Connectivity Wi-Fi(b/g/n) is built in so you can easily connect to your home network, office network, or an Wi-Fi hotspot whilst on the move. If you have an Android or Apple phone you can connect to your phone's internet connection easily using the tethering feature. Most external USB 3G modems are also supported.

HDMI TV-out The Teclast P76Ti has a mini HDMI out port so you can attach the tablet to your TV and watch videos, listen to music, or view photos. The Teclast P76Ti then becomes a simple Media Player. All the main video and audio formats are supported (MKV, AVI, H264, MP3, WMA, AAC and many more) including, incredibly, support for up to 3960x2160 HD video (if you have any such high resolution video?!). This high resolution video support serves to demonstrate the graphics power of the Allwinner A10 / Mail-400 combination.

Long Battery Life Battery life from the Teclast P76Ti is an outstanding 5-9 hours depending on usage.

High Quality Design and Great Build Quality The Teclast P76Ti is a little thicker than it's Novo 7 Advanced cousin, being 13mm as opposed to 11mm. It also lacks the touch buttons on the front, instead opting for a single conventional button. Build quality is very good. The tablet feels solid despite overall weight being very low at 333g. The 7" form factor, low weight, and long battery life mean you can take the Teclast P76Ti anywhere.

Firmware The Teclast P76Ti uses the same chipset as the Novo 7 Advanced and its firmware is near identical. All our Teclast P76Ti ship with a robust and fast implementation of Android 2.3.4 with full Android Market.

Android 4.0 / Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was released for the Teclast P76Ti on 30-DEC 2011, making it one of the first tablets to receive ICS. We are not currently shipping tablets with this ICS release because it lacks Android Market. There is a link to a forum where you can read about the ICS release and download the update file in the links section below. When an ICS release with full Market is available we will ship the Teclast P76Ti with ICS.

The Teclast P76Ti combines a powerful CPU and 2D/3D graphics processor, a multi-touch capacitive display, ample RAM and storage, and long battery life all in a solidly built and well designed package. At an extraordinary price.

    Power Supply
The Teclast P76Ti ships with a US style 2-pin adapter. We will ship an additional plug adapter appropriate for the country you order from.

    UK Orders.
You will receive a UK 3-pin adapter as here.
    European Orders.
You will receive a European 2-pin adapter.

My son loves watching movies, I have loads of 1080p mkvs which my 400 pound iPad can't even play! Apparently this thing can and can output them to the tv! Also I'm fed up of not having flash, I might still keep my iPad 2, but at 99 quid, testing this thing out is a no brainer!!!!!

Any of these cheap 'droids come with a 16:10 or 5:4 ratio screen? (other than my 32gb touchpad ;) )

16:9 is just too wide/long, tends to show up the LCD for what it is, ie a colour shifting TN panel, just like my Vega did :(
