Agreed!

Anyone want to admit to cold voting and give reasons?
#4
Don't like her but voted hot on the deal! As thats what you should do really and put your opinions aside!!
#5
"back to smack"

she should not be allowed to sell records!!

winners dont use drugs!
banned#6
Right so people are voting cold as shes a Druggie?

Would you do the same if it was: Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Marc Bolan, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath etc and the countless other musicians who take drugs all the time....

no....its not about them is it....its about the music....

however in this case its about the price.....
#7
Oh do shut up the lot of you, name me one good artist who hasn't taken drugs.

Great album. Voted hot.
Everyone saying she should not sell - she is in rehab you fools. I'm not defending her actions, but has anyone ever said noone should buy Jimi Hendrix or the Beatles albums because they took drugs? She is undoubtedly a fool to get so into drugs, but she has also fallen victim to the media desire to raise up, then crush down successful people.
Did anyone see her 'sing' at the Nelson Mandela gig - I could have done better. She should dissappear for a year and recouperate.

Beatles, Rolling Stones, Hendrix, The Who, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, George Michael, Massive Attack, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Nirvana, Oasis, Blur, Joy Division, Elvis Presley, Sex Pistols, Queen, David Bowie, Prodigy to name but a few inspirational artists who, whilst making music and perhaps taking something not strictly legal, have enhanced and enriched our lives through their music.

Same as Amy.

Well lets all buy her Cd's that way we can help support her drug habits and she mite die quicker.

Back to black is a great album, so this is a good deal for some extra tracks.
Having said that, she is starting to irritate me a lot. Having seen her at the Eden Project last year, I'd have to say that it was the most disturbing gig I've been to.
Nothing to do with this deal per se, but she is shockingly bad, live.

never heard her sing but did see her punch some poor jooker in the crowd on the news the other night!
unbelievable how people like this get awards and all the press time,
dont write about her in papers, dont put her on the telly, let her get lower and lower into obscurity and in a few years time she'll be forgotten about.
Some example for the youth of today, eh?

I can't stand the drug *****...but I won't vote this deal cold as it ain't a bad deal!

...if she wants to really be condidered one of the 'greats', she should die of an overdose...sooner the better in my view!!!

Don't understand all the hype about this girl. Can't stand her music, can't stand her.

Other artists might well have taken drugs, but doing it so publicly and openly is disgraceful. This girl gets award after award, is constantly in the public eye yet seems to disgrace herself at every opportunity.
She should be setting an example.

Although i couldn't agree more - people should vote the deal/price of the c.d not the artist!!
It's a good price for an album! (Even if it is ers!!):w00t:

She doesn't do it publicly, we only see it because papparazi hound her. Why should she be setting an example? She's a singer not the pope!

Fair question. But say you had a teenage daughter... would you want her to aspire to be like Amy Whinehouse...?

Oh please. I doubt there are many teenagers who do. Apart from the mess she's in being hardly the best advert for her lifestyle, teenagers simply aren't her target market, they're more interested in Girls Aloud and the like. And I wouldn't want my daughter to be like them either.

What ??? She's the most public drug taker I can think of. At the gig I took my girlfriend to see, she kept disappearing off the stage, leaving the band to improvise for a couple of minutes, then came back on, wiping her nose, and slapping her own face!
She was very clearly and publicly, off her face, during the glastonbury 'performance', that was on TV Saturday night.
She didn't look, or more importantly, sound too clever during that Nelson Mandela concert either.
And she should be setting a decent example, as a lot of young women are influenced by her. The same couldn't be said for the Pope.
#27
I'd probably buy this if I were swept up in the hype. Good price!

I voted cold she in my opinion is a prime example of a lot of what is wrong with people at the moment when and why is it socialy exceptable to turn a drug using nutball into a million pound icon for our childeren to look up to ? where are the positive role models for our childeren ? every pound we spend on her music and others like her just allows her to continue to kill herself with crack ! and glamorise it for our little ones to follow thinking its ok to do drugs drink till you pass out and randomly attack people - while i am against all that she represents i understand she has the right to live her life in any way she wants we just dont need to see her glamorised in this way every other day in the papers and mags what happend to singers having a bit of class and dignaty ? :viking:

yes but its the media that glamourise her....personally think she'd rather just get out of it aay from cameras etc...

But at least you admitted you cold voted, disagree with your reason 100% as its not about your opinion, just about the best price, but at least you admit it and stand by it so good for you

Since the beginning of time, artistes have been taking drugs.

Musicians, painters, writers, actors etc.

If we judged them all by the example they lead, then we would have barely and art or music.

Now that would be really sad.

Nobody I know would aspire to be a drug-addled mess such as her, but we can like her music.

You pays ya money and takes ya choice:whistling:

Oh, but I forget that we have some perfect people on this site who have never done anything wrong in their lives ever.:-D

This post isn't really about Blur, or Hendrix or the Beatles though, is it? And bands such as Blur, Hendrix and the Beatles are inspirational to some, and not to others, in the same way Amy Winehouse is dangerously inspirational to some and not to others. It's all about personal opinion.

The thread is about whether Winehouse and her record company deserve £6.99 of people's money, so that the artist can continue to take the p*£s, and self destruct.:whistling:

Actually this post is about whether 'Winehouse and her record company' deserve £6.99 of your money. If they dont, dont vote. If they dont deserve £6.99 of anyones money, vote cold. If you think you cant get it cheaper vote hot.

In essence thats what HUKD is all about.

Too many feelings and opinions about people/artist/retailer on here and it gets in the way of good deals.

IMHO your post is a prime example of whats wrong with people at the moment. Whining, moralising and authoritarian, scared of imaginary threats, people like you are gonna turn this country into a police state bit by bit.
