Have the schools even broken up, man that must be depressing for kids that there are back to school promotions before they have even finished school.

Just to let everyone know this is white polo shirts only. The adverts on TV are very misleading but its in tiny print at the bottom of the signs in store, which I discovered today when I tried to purchase 2 packs of blue!

Similar yes, but the prices appear to be slightly different. eg in lucerysmum's post sweatshirts are £2.50 but I've posted them at £1.75

These prices that I've posted only came into effect today (possibly yesterday)

This just shows how crap my Daughters school is, she is only allowed to wear polo shirts with the school logo and sweatshirts/cardigans with the logo also, which can ONLY be bought via the school.

Polo shirts come in at £5 each, they are a yellowy/gold colour, with absolutely no shape to them as they are unisex, my Daughter is quite thin so they just hang on her, shes wearing the 5-6 which are big as it is on her but the next size range is then 7-8 which are massive on her.

Sweatshirts/Cardigans are £7/£8 each, they are red, she has the cardigan as I think it looks nicer on the girls than the sweatshirt.

When she first started school last August, I wanted to be able to send her with a tie, shirt, pinafore etc, but no, the logo must be seen at all times.

I dont see why they cant just have clip on ties for the kids.

To be fair Asda and Tesco school clothes are very good quality. The white shirts are so cheap that you can afford to chuck them away when they start to look a little grubby. The trousers are fantastic and wash very well.

good for those that spend all their time on the net.

not so good for those that spend all their time on the tv where it has been advertised extensively.

I second this, I purchased the red ones and they aren't included!

'This sort of rubbish' has lasted my son the year, I will be giving them to charity next month (rather than throwing out) purely because he's outgrown them and for no other reason, Ive already bought more from Asda and will continue to do so in the future.. I recommend them myself. The stuff I bought from school however is a different story, the jumper shrank almost straight away and went bobbly within weeks.

Agreed!

I bought some clothing from an Asda in Leicester and the prices tally with the original offer posted above, for example the sweatshirts were £2.50. Ive already voted hot on the previous one, wont be bothering for this though seeing as its already been done!
