Bahco is (or was!) good quality kit. All we used to use on the ships I worked on.

The RRP on this is a little bit silly but Bahco stuff is top quality. I've got their 1/2" set, 3/8" set and the baby 1/4" set. All excellent kit and VERY hard wearing. Hot.

that crazy, how does it cost this much??

I mean, i do need another 1/4 socket set, my trusty halfords ones started to fall apart (case and ratchet) after 5-6 years.
Can anyone recommend one which is perhaps not as "pro" as this?

Also still looking for a swivel ratchet... :)
#13
Unfortunately its becoming more and more common for Amazon to let you know, normally after a long wait that you will not get 'temporarily out of stock' items that it allowed you to order.

Not very trusty if they are falling apart after 5 years!

Partly my fault using 14-16mm on the 1/4 due to laziness. but hey £10 for 5 yrs is good no?

Have a look at Irimo, same stuff as Bahco just blue and a bit cheaper.

Depends how many 1/4 nuts you rounded in the process!

My screwdriver and bits were made in Taiwan! oO

Great price and professional quality tools but this set doesn't seem to contain a 1/2 inch breaker bar at all which puts me off personally.
Whenever I've ordered temporarily out of stock items on Amazon they have always come, usually sooner rather than later, but maybe I have just been lucky.

Good Price for Good quality Tools.

will let you know if Amazon really do deliver when back in stock.
#25
great quality!
#26
Excellent quality but the omission of a 16 & 18mm socket is a killer for working on cars. Great for industry though
#27
Got the 1/4 inch set for about £35 last year, this is a steal at £55!

Probably the best bit of toolage I own.

I Can't buy this set too but hot!

According to CPC (Farnell) the country of origin for this set is Taiwan as well. Probably not a bad buy for £55 though, but would question some of the higher prices.

I`ve snapped 2 breaker bars , the knuckle gives them a weak point , for a non-knuckle risking method I use a T-bar and a piece of pipe . BAHCO , KING DICK (hee hee) and BRITOOL are what I use in work - no sockets or spanners from these brands ever gave me an issue in the 34years I`ve used one or other - even when I abused them (putting them on an inch air impact gun or added ten foot scaffold poles) , £55 is a bargain for keeping your knuckles in one piece . DRAPER (and rubbish like that) are only good for infrequent home use .

It's hard trying to find tools that aren't made in the far east these days.Think it's a disgrace as they aren't cheap. :(

We have 12 inch Bahco and Britool breaker bars plus a 6 inch Bahco one and have not managed to break them yet. They do a lot of heavy (farm machinery) work too and often have a length of pipe on the end to undo nuts that have thoroughly rusted..Looked like this set comes with some kind of 1/2 inch T-Bar adaptor though instead which I wasn't sure about.
We have the 1/2 inch, 3/8 inch and 1/4 inch Bahco sets and could well recommend them. Price, as of a couple of minutes ago was still £54.99 (third party seller is £109). Almost tempted to buy another set to keep in the truck.
