The baileys price war is on....

Asda to sell baileys 1 Litre bottle for £9 starting tomorrow.
I have just been in asda and they were putting a big display at the front of store and i mean big also they had a display on the end of booze. I asked what the price was and was told £14 but going to £9 tomorrow.

I know it went to £8 at tesco last year for a few days but as far as i can remember it never went below £10 elsewere and this is the best deal at the moment i just wish it started to day i would have had a few. Could somebody with asda account please check online.

thats finished now! its champagne if you spend over £30 at tesco.

Tesco was deffo £10 if you spent £30. It was deducted by the checkout person, not automatic. Mine said he would deduct, then forgot. Luckily I checked before I left the store, and went to customer services to get the refund. I thought I'd get the product for free, but she said that's only on misprices. It did occur to me that if I hadn't noticed, I'd have had the cost (time and money) of returning to the store to get the refund...

Great, wait for Tesco to catch up - last christmas tesco ran a discount similar price, but my local store ran out in hours, never to restock.

I can imagine they won't have learned from that experience if they do it again, and will have the same limited volume of stock.

Tesco had it for £9 last week WYS £30 instore. So I doubt they will instantly react and put it on offer to £9 instantly again. :)

Tesco ran numerous offers on Baileys last Christmas - I think the one you were talking about was when they went to £8 a litre, because Sainsburys did it - but there was plenty of discounts on it before it got that offer.

Stores typically will have about 3 Baileys promotions between now and Christmas. :santa: They love it so much, haha. Good deal at Asda though.

Ooh also, note that if you register for a free sample of coffee baileys on their site, you should receive it within a week (it's taaaasty) and it comes with a £1 off a bottle of any flavour of Bailey's voucher :) So this will be £8 for me now

Queen Margot Baileys clone £5 in Lidl for 70cl, i.e £7.14 a litre, which is 20% cheaper than this if you're not hung up on brand names.

Same here i am waiting for my voucher with the baileys sample. I also got a pound off voucher from my love film acocunt but its only for the coffee one though, came in the envelope with the film i had delivered so two bottles i will be buying, just waiting for the best time to buy. Think it might be even cheaper like some of the others said within the next couple of weeks.

What do you mean a price war?

Every year this happens, asda and tesco sell at £9, morrisons and sainsburys sell it at £10. its always the same...

Did you get them scanned?

I was just in my local asda, Livinston, and they were not selling it at this price.
I went into buy a bottle for the festive period and it was still £14.00 and there was loads of them.

Sorry just noticed that you have said that it starts tomorrow, so it makes sense for it to be £14.00 today. However how has people been able to buy them today.

Totally confused now.
#39
The deal is already on.... our ASDA has them for £9 only three bottles per customer.
#40
Just picked 2 up at ASDA Huyton for £9 each, there was a stack of maybe 500+ bottles, didn't notice it saying maximum 3 per shopper.

Missed out on the Tesco WYS £30 offer so was glad to see this today....
