Perfect for those that want their dogs to be unhealthy and sent to an early grave.
This muck is probably the worst thing you can feed your dog.
You can buy far healthier food than this and, as cheap or cheaper, £ for kg.

There is more rubbish talked about dog food than almost anything else, usually by people who have a product to sell.Dogs are omnivores, eaters of dead things and scavengers. This food is as good as any other,my 3 collies have been fed on it or the supermarket rivals, they have all lived to over 15 years in very good health. Buy more expensive ones if you like but realise your are being had.

He's not the only one who is scathing in his assessment of this brand.
Take a look at some of the additives found in this rubbish. In what foods that a dog would 'scavenge' would you find any of this?

E102 - Tartrazine and E110 Sunset Yellow are strongly linked to hyperactivity and are banned in some countries. Sunset Yellow has been found to damage kidneys and adrenals when fed to laboratory rats. It has also been found to be carcinogenic when fed to animals
E320 - BHA or butylated hydroxyanisole is a known carcinogen that has also been linked with urticaria, angioedema and asthma, also banned in many countries.
E321 - BHT or butylated hydroxytoluene causes liver damage.
E310 - Propyl Gallate. Banned from children's foods in the US because it is thought to cause the blood disorder methemoglobinemia, linked to gastric disorders and skin irritation in animals.
E104 - Quinoline Yellow is one of the colours that the Hyperactive Children's Support Group recommends be eliminated from the diet of children. Banned in Australia, Japan, Norway and the United States it is also linked to the occurence of dermatitis.
E171 - Titanium Dioxide. Banned in Germany
E153 - Carbon black. Banned as a food additive in the United States of America. Suspected as a carcinogenic agent.
E490 - Propylene Glycol, linked to occurence on eczema, particularly in white dogs and bull-breeds.

What do you recommend as an alternative then? My dog gets this stuff sometimes but I like to vary his diet to give him a change. Would like to give him something healthier if poss.

For dry food I get Autarky or Skinners 15kg bags from Amazon. It actually works out a lot cheaper than Bakers complete, Pedigree etc but it's much healthier. I've got a medium sized dog and a bag usually lasts approx 2 months from 2 meals a day. I mix it with a quarter of a tin of Arden Grange Partners but if your budget is tight then Butchers Superior is pretty good.

Absolute rubbish for dogs as already said dogs best thing you could feed a dog is raw worth having a look at natural instinct or neutriment minces to start you of I would say best kibble is royal canine or wainrights... That's just my oppinion :)
