I was specifically looking for an inexpensive tough watch for work and the Ballistic range looked promising. The red faced version is £28.99 but didn't look as easy to read IMO. I scoured the web and couldn't find it cheaper. If you like them on Facebook there are codes for reducing prices on non sale items, and the BOGOF code W2U3 may work..

    Thanks for your input Numpty1. I did consider Casio solar tough on a stainless bracelet but Amazon feedback seemed quite negative. I didn't want a resin case which will deteriorate rapidly at work, and resin/leather straps perish really quickly. I don't seem to remember Invicta having a great name...
    My non work watch is a year 2000 Citizen promaster tough ecodrive which I am looking after as they are going up in value.
    I'll pm you my impression of the ballistic.
