Haha, it's no problem. :)
I would of been on this deal myself, as I only have 8GB with my 2500K setup, however, I'm looking to upgrade to a new Intel or AMD system in January depending how good the new AMD Zen CPU really is. 8)

I'm on 8gb 2700k myself, this should keep me going a little while longer. Would love a cracking deal on a 480/1060 to go with it!

Cheap as chips, DRAM manufacturers likely to start (if not already) scaling back their DDR3 production now DDR4 is the norm...

HEAT! X)

So Hot!!! I wish they did it with the 32gb (DDR4) kits :'(

Actually... it's on "offer" too for £115: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B01DPSQQOC/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

Desktop PCs.

As a general rule, desktops use DIMMs and laptops use SODIMMs.

thank you ;-)

That MSI RX480 Gaming X 8GB looks a decent deal, £192 after cashback at Scan >>http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/msi-rx480-8gb-includes-civilization-6-239-99-possible-192-shipping-after-cashback-2557873

Overclockers UK have it at £254.99, which should come out at £203.99 if cashback is after VAT and you get Battlefield 1 Deluxe upgrade pack for free on top of Civilization VI.

Nice, I was looking to upgrade my archaic 8gb ddr3 ram and all the black Friday deals for 16gb ddr3 have been terrible. This should keep me going for a while until they drop more in price

Shame Amazon is so busy that it won't arrive until Sunday now

new problem: sell the other 3

If your not 100% sure yourself, why post this utter garbage of information ?

That motherboard will take 32Gb of memory. So he takes 2 x 2Gb out and uses these instead.

Now he's stuck with 8Gb when he could have had 20Gb

so when 1 of my PCs (Crucial scan) says max 8GB supported (by manufacturer/ motherboard) - you reckon I can try 16GB? :)

what is the worst that can happen?

any cool dude would just have bought it anyway, no risk - you can simply sell for a profit

That will;l be per Dimm, DDR3 mainboard/chipset with only 4GB per channel limit ?

Anyway, if memory is unsupported, it would be addressing issue and POST would fail.

ie it wouldn't work - I kinda trust Crucial Scan to be mostly right - never mind, nice problem I have - 4 sets of cheap 16GB RAM
