We love everything about bananas: their colour, their taste, their texture, their versatility. Well the thing is, although we adore them in all their yellow, curvy glory, we hate bruised ones. Indeed, pulling one out of your bag and discovering it's been knocked about is enough to drive you...er, bananas. Yes, nature did attempt a solution by encasing the fruit in a rather funky outer skin but even that can't protect it completely.

Yes I was wondering the same! Do we have to select our banana's to fit the mould?
#9
I presume the mould is shaped to conform to EU banana bendiness standards ;)

Maybe your banana is mis-shapen and doesn't quite meet EU standards...:-D
#15
I was bought one (oh joy!), and it is the biggest waste of space/money ever.
Buy it for your enemies, not your loved ones.

The way the guard is curved means that virtually all bananas fit. If it it more curved, you put it at the more curved end. If it is less curved, it goes towards the straighter end. We have had a couple of these for about three years. If I remember, we got them from lakeside for about £2 each (when they were half price). They do protect bananas quite well, especially if you chuck lots of stuff in your bag, but they are quite a bit bigger than a regular banana, so take up space.

I'll buy one and stick it down the front of my trousers, that should attract some interest from the ladies on nights out.
#18
Still seems overpriced to me?

I think this is anti-Christian because according to this video augmenting your natural banana disproves the existence of God. Or something.

Way-to-go overpromise and underdeliver ... you must be a salesman? :whistling:

As a previous lunch helper at school, the first time a child produced one of these from his lunch box there were many a strange look from the staff!

They do look very rude and you do need to have a banana with no too much bend in it.

I love firebox for using the Local Collect service.

Cold from me..

Can't see that it'd be any use if it doesn't fit all bananas. A novel idea.. but to be honest.. thats about all it is.

can we forget the banana answers , lets get back to the dildo's

So.....how long will this preserve the banana from its formiddable deterioration?
#30
Why would you double bag? A banana already has protection and it's called the skin.

My Dad bought me one for my birthday.:-(

One of my colleagues has had one for several years. Each day he has a banana as a snack. It works fine for all bananas that you are likely to encounter in british shops, and means it is safe to leave the banana at the bottom of a bag.

I throw so many banana's away as they keep getting squashed in my 5yr olds lunch bag. The skin does not protect the banana from being squashed when other lunchbags are being piled on top of your own!

Some might not find this a problem, but I think this is a useful gadget to solve a problem many of us have with our LO's lunches!

Oh and gosh I found a banana in the bottom of my hand bag a few weeks back - not a pretty sight!
