From this day to the ending of the world, we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers. For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother."

From Academy Award winners Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, HBO presents the story of Easy Company - an elite team of U.S. paratroopers whose WWII exploits are as incredible as they are true.

Based on the bestseller by Stephen E. Ambrose, the epic 10-part miniseries Band Of Brothers tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army.

Drawn from interviews with survivors of Easy Company, as well as soldiers' journals and letters, Band Of Brothers chronicles the experiences of these men who knew extraordinary bravery and extraordinary fear. They were an elite rifle company parachuting into France early on D-Day morning, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and capturing Hitler's Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden. They were also a unit that suffered vast casualties, and whose lives became legend.

They were ordinary men, swept up in the most extraordinary conflict in history. With the eyes of the world upon them, they found their greatest source of strength in one another.

AMAZING series!

On Blu-Ray too! Sex on disc!
heat added and yet again it wont let me give you any more rep
Great price for a stunning show in stunning HD.

I picked this up for around £30 when it was first released. Bargain price for one of the finest (if not THE finest) mini-series you will ever see
do not hesitate best blu-ray you can own

hot as the sun
Great price Heat + Rep Added

Just ordered one
I got this for a ridiculous £11 at Woolies on my locals last day.
Have the DVD boxset from when it first came out. Tempted to get it in blu ray due to it being that good!

Buying Now
I got this boxset as soon as it was released. And have to say it's amazing! A must have for any fan of Band of Brothers or Blu-ray movies.
love BoB....don't have blu-ray or hdtv yet - am tempted to buy it, invade a friend's house and watch the whole damn thing! lol

Great show but if you don't own a HDTV or blu ray player and are not getting one soon then you will probably be able to get it cheaper when you do, £24.99 is just £5 less than I paid about 6 months ago.
i paid 35 quid for myn, this is a crackin deal

amazing series too, really enjoyed it!
would have gone for it if I hadn't already spent £15+ tracking down the R1 DTS Tin edition on eBay couple years ago.

hope it'll drop below £20.
Is it worth getting this in Blue ray? I thought it was filmed deliberately grainy?
Be careful, when placing the order it now says it is out of stock.
At this price though i'm prepared to wait. Hot hot hot!
It's a shame we never got a nice limited edition of this box set like in Korea ...

Here's looking forward to 'The Pacific' (the follow-up series)
While the family were away for a few days, I decided to watch this at the sound level it should be played at. With all the bullets and shells whizzing around the room, Ive got shell shock..
Forget Saving private Ryan, this is far superior...
Got this at Xmas from Asda for £32, it is VVVVVV good - however in places the blu-ray isn't that amazing compared to DVD upscale to 1080p. (got that box set as well). HOT though
Brilliant series - shame the HD-DVD version is better quality than the blu-ray:

Some totally unnecessary noise reduction applied to the blu-ray... Still, the blu-ray is much better than the dvd and most people won't notice the difference.
The missus bought the dvd box-set for my xmas, you think she would notice if I bought this and replaced it on the dvd stand?

Amazing series!
Thanks - ordered. Rep Added

It is very worth it, both picture and sound is very good even though there is quite a bit of grain.
Says out of stock in my basket? Took a chance though ...
Unexpired as it can be back ordered with only 4 - 5 day delay

Okay, cool - wasn't aware of that. Play should perhaps be clearer about that, but I'm happy nonetheless.
No problem it mentions it here: ( 66 customer ratings )

Aye, it's just confusing when it then says 'out of stock' in the basket - made me think 'balls, I missed the last one by seconds!'
I have this on DVD. If you haven't seen it, buy this. You will never regret it.
I was looking at ordering this just the other day, hadn't got round to it but thought 33 notes was alright. Jumped onto this, ordered and now clinging to my order confirmation like a homesick turd.

I had fallen out with Play due to them not sending me my James Bond box set at 9.99 sometime ago but hey, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. :whistling:
These Band of Brothers deals always get a lot of attention... I really should make the effort!

Just need a bluray player now... Heheh!
Thanks OP!
Great price Heat + Rep Added
I have the original DVD boxset, having bought it after I mislaid the one I had been given as a present. Is it worth buying it again JUST for the BR. I am a massive BR fan, but keen to see what the differences are in this series.
I ordered from HMV when it was this price back in November last year.

Just need a Blu-ray player now :(
Don't forget the BluRay has DTS-HD MA soundtrack as well if you have a HD compatible AV Receiver/Surround setup ;-)
