I bought banished in the STEAM sale and it is very good if you like strategy games. I found it quite tough to get going but once I did it became very addictive. It is slightly lacking in variety of tools and there aren't a huge variety of buildings to work through, but keeping everyone alive as well as growing your population and keeping everything in check takes some skill. I am happy with the purchase and I hovered over the 'buy it now' button several different times before it went cheap enough.

One thing, the theme tunes really stick in your head, the other night I went to bed and the music was still going on in the back of my mind haha

Heat added. Banished seemed like an interesting game... Almost bought during steam sale.

Banished is a very good game and even better when you think it was made by one guy. More expensive than when I got a Russian to buy it and gift it too me, but a bargain at £5.99

Some great deals again. Never played Psychonauts but heard good things about it.

The game is very boring. It's not something that will give you hours of fun.

I usually only buy and play the budget stuff but I really wanted Banished and want to support the guy, from the pictures and videos it looks such a pretty game, full credit to him

Banished looks interesting, but the scope seems very small.
Nevertheless, It's a huge achievement for a one man band.

Broken Age is still on my radar but I would like to see how part 2 turns out before committing.

Please post any of the Broken sword or Brothers when you find them on a deal, I would like all of them but won't pay the price there at right now, Thank's :D Heat given.

Can this Banished be activated on Steam? Will it have Steam achievements?

.

The scope it quite limited but at the same time its very cleverly made and makes you think about how to use things and when to build what. For the price you can easily expect to get your moneys worth if you like 'base builders' and such games, there is easily 15-20 hours there to conquer the basics and get a town with a few hundred people and no diseases etc, and a lot more if you like achievements.

Great price on Banished been on my wish list for ages so finally brought.

TBH £5.99 for this is not really worth it, its so boring i wouldnt bother. the game is only 120mb in size shows how bad the content is haha.

Managed to pick up Broken Age for £6.49 in the Steam sale but if the first chapter was anything to go by then it's still totally worth it at this price.

This can now be added to the many games i have bought this summer......

You talk from your rear, maybe you find it boring but size doesn't matter, surely you've been told that before :P

Papers, please is like 60MB or something, and has hours of addictive gameplay for example. When you generalise the way you do, people tend to pay no attention to you ;)

Then you have no clue what value is and your feeling for value is very very low.

To normal people avoid and grab it when its £2, there is really nothing to do after your first play through which lasts around 2-5 hours then youll be bored.

Simcity 4 and the Tropico series are still the only solid city builder sims.
