It's a 3d platform game :) I like it, Download the demo from Live if you have a hard drive and you see what you think.

Have you had a look at the Two original Nintendo Banjo games now available on Live ? (You can download the demo of each of those Two games to).

Thanks - have some rep, yeah I played one on the N64 and was wondering if this was similar.

So - when is Alan Wake coming out? :whistling:

Fantastic game and great deal. It's like a half platform half lego kind of game. You create and build crazy vehicles to complete challenges. You can build them from scratch, or otherwise use the ones the game provides as they are or modify them. A lot of people expected a platformer like the old games but once you get over that you realise how good it is.

The achievements are good, its funny and there is plenty of challenge. The graphics are great. Its a good game for a quick pickup and play, but can last as long as you want too. I think I've put nearly 30 hours into it, I've finished the main game but I keep going back to it to do the time trials.

I loved the Banjo series of the N64 but I'm just not finding this one as enjoyable. I'm not too far into the game yet but all the challenges seem to be done with the vehicles with the platforming aspects missing. I'm a sucker for games where you have to collect X amount of something in each level etc but the game hasn't held my attention very well at the minute. I'm hoping it gets better as it progresses.

I'm a massive fan of the original games, in particular Banjo Kazooie which I still think is one of the greatest adventure games of all time. I don't know if it's an age thing (I'm 26 now, 16 when I played the original), but Nuts & Bolts doesn't hold a candle to BK. You really can't call it a "3D adventure game", when you consider that genre is for the likes of BK / BT, Zelda: OoT, Mario 64, Jak and Daxter 1, Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil, Little Big Adventure etc. etc. It is hardly anything like those games, which are gaming classics. This is more of a sandbox type game where you muck around building vehicles to complete tasks, which I got pretty tired of pretty quickly. Maybe it's what the younger gamers like these days, but to me it's so, so shallow when you compare to the proper adventure games of the past. Such a shame that developers / publishers don't see "proper" adventure games as viable products any more.

I'm voting hot because the price is great, but in fairness it should have been this price on release...

It's a love or hate game. I paid £20 for it and I loved it.
