Another holiday deal I have put together. Granted, it will not suit everyone but can't be bad for £23.00 per person (just put into context what else you can buy for £23.00).

Fly with Ryanair from London Stansted (other airports are available at the same price just check) 1st May - Palma Mallorca
Fly home 5th May

Total cost for 2 adults and 2 children = £48 (to get this price you will need to take 10KG hand luggage only and use the prepay card to pay)

Accomodation through TravelRepublic.co.uk (used them personally on numerous occasions and always had good service and great reliability). The Apartments below are just an example and a few cheaper ones available or more expensive if you wish. The reviews for the Apartments mentioned are not too bad considering the price (however, you can't please all the people all the time) . Possibly better paying an extra £5 per person to stay at one with even better reviews, eg, Holiday Center in Santa Ponsa.

Europa Apartments in Sa Coma - Staying for 4 Nights (01/05/11 - 05/05/11) on a Self Catering basis works out at £11 per person (for total stay and not per night) giving a total of £44.

As mentioned, plenty other apartments available in other resorts at similar prices. Please note, you may need to play around with the direct link to place in price order - just go to 'Sort By' and select 'Cheapest Price'.

Therefore total cost is £48 + £44 = £92 for a family of 4 therefore £23 per person for 4 nights holiday in Majorca. Nice time of year to visit with temperatures in low 70's.

Agreed, this is with Hand Luggage only but if my wife can manage a weeks holiday limited to 10kg then anyone can - we recently purchased a couple of cases from Argos which are ideal size and conforms with Ryanair restrictions and you can pack a fair amount in. The ones we bought are listed below - don't think these ones are still available for the £5 we got them at but gives you an example of the size of case which can count as Hand Luggage.

http://****.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350444096888&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT - Ebay Item No - 350444096888

Transfers are also available through Travel Republic or plenty Taxi's available just outside Main terminal as well as good local bus service.

Direct link never seems to work with Travel Republic - just go to their website and put in dates and search criteria. I will work on a better direct link and post.

Trying to get a better Direct Link but website might be undergoing maintenance - will update ASAP.

Hopefully the link below will work - you might need to sort into Price Order

#3
can't go wrong at that price
#4
how do you do 4 adults my kids are 18/ 23
#5
just go search again and change to 4 adults, europa will take 4 adults for same price of £44
#6
can only 2 adults take this offer, or have to go with 2 kids? also how far is the airport away from hotel?
thanks
#7
Why is it always from Luton?
Wish we could get deals like that from Newcastle.
Heat added anyway.
#8
v nice thanks
#9
Thanks for the heads-up; I was entirely unaware of the proposed strikes and was thinking of trying to get to Barcelona over this period.

It looks as though the strikes have been called off.
#10

If you read it properly this offer is for flights as well and there are many other airports for around the same money.
#13
Doesn't work for me. Shows as "Hotel Only" at the prices you quote. Definately no flights included, whether you use the direct link or search.

And it's with Ryanair - even at this price, I'll give it a miss. It's only cheap if you actually get there, and that's not a guarantee with LyingAir.

Just to clarify - you have to book the flights and accommodation individually. Go to Ryanair website to book flights. The link in post 1 takes you to the Travel Republic search I carried out (just so you can see all the hotels available for these dates in case you want more choice). The direct link never seems to work with Travel Republic deals hence the link in Post 1.

Granted, you need to do about 10 minutes work to book this holiday and unfortunately there is no way of me creating a direct link that lets you book all in one in 30 seconds. However, it is worth 10 minutes work to get at this price rather than going to an on-line agent or High Street Travel Agent and pay 5 times as much.

I appreciate Ryanair is not everyones cup of tea (mostly those that have not used them) but we have never encountered any problems and use them 6-7 times a year. Trying to find the stats but I read somewhere they have one of the best On-Time record for European Air Carriers.

Apologies if my post is not very clear (seems to be a lot of confusion) on how you get this deal. If anyone is interested in booking this and not sure about the booking process just ask and I will help all I can. In summary -
(1) Go to Ryanair.com and select flight from London Stansted to Palma Mallorca with dates 01/05/11-05/05/11 for 2 Adults and 2 Children (or whatever combination you require) and then search - Prices are £12 return, ie, £6 each way. Book using a Prepaid card and no fees are due and only select the 10KG Hand Luggage option.

(2) To book Apartments go to the link in Post 1 and when search is complete go to the right hand side and 'Sort By' - Cheapest. You can then see all Apartments available - I just used the Europa as an example and you can pick whichever takes your fancy and all prices should be clear.

As mentioned, if clarification is needed just ask and either myself or others on the site more accustomed to booking holidays in this manner can assist.

Ryanair flights ain't the problem, its the type of people that travel on them that's a pain.

Went to Malaga from Liverpool a couple of weeks ago.

Two old women in row in front of me, one on aisle and one in window - both placed their bags in middle seat and told other passengers they were waiting for someone when asked if the seat was free.

To my left, was a women and her 10/12 year old kid, who did same trick.

As soon as the doors were closed and everyone was eventually seated, the mother and kid knocked up the arm rests and spread out across 3 seats and had a nice kip most of the flight.

Old women in front, spent the whole trip leaning across (their invisible friend) to chat each other loudly.

I was soooooo tempted to just get up and go sit inbetween.

Think I might have found a way of booking all together without having to book flights seperately through Ryanair - you can also book flights through Travel Republic (they normally charge more than the fare quoted by going directly through Ryanair but prices seem same by booking as a flight and accommodation package on TravelRepublic. The main benefit of this is, if you don't have a Prepaid Card you can use any card on the TravelRepublic site and avoid the admin fees Ryanair charge if paying by Debit or Credit Card. (Thanks to Goodfella 123 for pointing this out).

Hopefully the link below will take you straight to the full package booked through TravelRepublic (will show all Apartments available and total cost per person including flights). - Just select the Top Option which is Outbound Flight at £12 (Click on "Select Flight and View Hotels).

No,don't apologise, tis perfectly clear, don't waste time worrying over people that can't read, as for the Ryanair, the people that travel on them are as varied as the people that shop in every major supermarket, go live in a mud hut if you hate your fellow man so much. The deal is a blinder and all this bitching is very unfair and nothing to do with the deal. Heat mate.

Sorry if I am being a bit thick!! (doesn't take much lol)
When I look to book the flight with Ryanair, returning on the 5/5/11 will cost £21.99 each, booking to return on the 6/5/11 will cost £6.00 each. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Great post, thanks. Heat added

flights for the 5th have gone up now and you also will not get free online check-in. The 6th still has £6 flights with free check-in though.

Good work! I agree that booking flights and hotels separately and also looking at the different carriers for outbound and inbound can save you money.

I am on a stag do that weekend flying out on ryan air and returning on Jet 2 which saves around 50 quid on if you were going to book a return on JET2 alone.

You are right. Probably better value now going for 5 nights as only works out at an extra £3 pp for an extra night stay. Hopefully link below is more up to date with the 5 day offer.

Just because you have had no problems with LyingAir, don't assume that they are a decent company. They are not.

Just wait until you turn up for your return flight in the backend of nowhere, and they tell you that the flight has been cancelled with no explanation. And that no, you can't get booked on the next available flight, you have to make your own way home. At your cost. Oh yes, they'll refund your original flight - that you paid £9.99 for - but won't reimburse you the £200+ extra it has cost you to get home.

Ryan Air are the worst company I have ever dealt with - as you will eventually find out to your cost.

You are allowed 10KG of Hand Luggage without charge. Not a huge amount but should be big enough for 4-5 nights. I put the item no. of a suitcase I purchased from Argos Ebay in my OP just so people can see the size of suitcase that can be classed as Hand Luggage - this one is slightly smaller than the Max measurements Ryanair allow but is the closest exact match I have found for a reasonable cost.
