XTR pads for mountain bike, also fits deore slx xt

Bargain price also on halford sister group sites like tredz, ordered a pair earlier this week to check the sizing and as you can see they are the same size as regular shimano pads (on picture the one on top)

tredz and wheelies are selling these on ebay for £3 plus. so buy direct, both sites have free shipping

thats good to hear, i tend to use the shimano resin, quality braking when its dry, but the recent rain, mud and glop, my pads have been known to burn out in a ride or two.
bought some on tuesday from tredz (same price) to check they were the right size

Question for you guys, ive just ordered my new bike, Giant Trance 2016 model as its in the sale
it comes with Deore breaks so will they fit ??

i know you said in in your title they fit deore slx xt. but on the Wheelies site it says ""Baradine Shimano XTR 2011"" so whats the year 2011 in reference too ????

sorry if its a silly question. but i didnt want to order if they wont fit.

I would say 99% likely they will fit.
The newer m615 deore calipers or m675 slx, etc all run the same style and these pads will fit, in the past shimano manufactured many styles/designs on calipers* hence many style of pad designs
(* the unit that fastens to the bike and has pistons that when you brake on the lever the pistons push out (hydraulic fluid expands in chamber) and the pads inserted between (but around the rotor) will push into the rotor disc and stop the bike )

In theory newer (more expensive) technology from Shimano will filter down over the years,
In order from xtr then xt then slx then deore , hence they now all have a similiar design pad

The main difference now is the pad surface which is either sintered (metal bits in) or resin, and the backplates can be steel (a gram heavier and cheaper) to aluminium to titanium ( lightness more expense)

The sintered metal ones are harder wearing in winter wet mud (not as good and noisier) but last far longer than resin, I tend to use resin less noise and sharper modulation, I think they call it

Ps. Even the newer m8000 xt and m7000 slx brakes use this shaped pad

Ps. The older style xtr looked like this, hence would not fit
http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Shimano-BR-M965-XTR-Metal-Disc-Brake-Pads_33519.htm?sku=78012&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=google_shopping&gclid=CLbHrpCWwtACFbYV0wod4sYNJw#

I guess the new design came in from 2011 onwards, I'm surprised someone in the shop hasn't said why don't we list them as deore, slx,xt etc , absolute bargain price , hence for my 3 bikes with slx,xt brakes and a few friends with deore/xt I've bought a shed load

will these fit Shimano BR-M445?

I don't think they do, the pad is shorter and so these pads are too long to fit in the calliper , I recently

bought a set on merlin and had a look at the pads
