Doesnt look like a good deal to me. Old technology, Intel GMA, will struglle with HD. The Drivebay may or may not fit a Blueray Drive. Better stuff with 780G chipsets available on ebuyer. having said that, if it can take a standard Blue ray drive, and another Microatx motherboard, then worth buying the case to rip out internals and kit it out with own stuff. Just FYI if you were to build your own similar system
Case (decent with ports and PSU and space for Blueray drive) £52.5
780G gigabyte mobo £67
AMDX2 5050e energy efficient processor £55
Ram 2Gb £23
HDD 500 £48.49
Blue ray drive £49
Total =£295

Good system, capable, cool and upgradable!!

Would the gfx card on this be able to handle the output.?
Certainly dont think it could cope with any hi-def signals.

If i'm wrong, this seems a fair price for a slim-line rig,

I've been checking this for over a week now and there's no stock in Merseyside or Manchester area

Check E**y item 180335924757
Same barebones by Fujitsu, include remote and keyboard
Quality item, very quiet

£60 quid cheaper too! EDIT - Just noticed it doesn't include the tuner card.(Worth £15)

You could build a nice SD system using this, but forget HD.

d'oh

Had one in my basket while i was checking it out, went to pay and it told me the item is discontinued?!?!
Can't get onto the page anymore now.

Edit: I can add it using the add button on the front page, but get the same error when checking out. Looks to be expired :/

I bought the MSI barebones from Ebuyer for £199 and its very berry good. This just doesnt have the looks let alone the tools for a High Def output as far as I can see. But it makes a good bedroom media centre so Im voting hot.
Just a note that the Ebuyer MSI was 269 for ages and has now come down to 199 the last time I looked. The onboard graphics can handle 720p and with a full compliment of RAM 1080p and the right configuration and you dont need to buy a graphics card at all; just a Hard drive, some Ram and a Tuner card if you want one. Also it works great with MediaPortal. Nuff said.

Agreed just spotted that is a HOT deal for £199.99. I was looking at it a couple of weeks ago and I am sure it was nearly £300!:

can you confirm it does 1080p over HDMI? Can it handle external bluray drive?
