After doing some research for weeks, I managed to find a specific washing machine make and model from the many out there today.

I personally found Comet's website the best to use for comparing different machines. So feel free to do the same. Comet use a feature called ADD TO COMPARE rather than basket and I found this all works quite nicely.

After deciding on the machine, I done the normal thing of looking on the internet to find the cheapest. Most offered similar prices, although comets was around £30 more than the cheapest on the Internet. The only problem was most other retailers had a 7-10 day lead time and they were not very known retailers.

Then while sitting on the tube I found a copy of the Sun, picked it and found Argos to be doing it even cheaper !

And to top it off, they offered next day delivery with an additional £10 voucher on it's way. You can't say fairer than that.

This is my first post so be nice.

Thank you

Nice 1st post MRSkint (is that Mr Skint or MRS Kint? lol) :) and thanks for your research

I'd also recommend the "Take Back Old Washing Machine" option for £5 as well, if you are replacing.

Also be aware that Zanussi have single-cold-feed options which you are rarely informed about; this "option" might mean you get a machine with a cold feed only, which means extended heating times etc. Great if you have a combination boiler with slow heat times for the hot feed, as we have.

Overall, a good deal so nice one :)

It's the same price at Currys, but at Currys you can get 5% off with this voucher and another 5% with Quidco!

To the person who voted this cold.
At the time of checking and ordering Curry's were not even on the radar. They were up their with the other retailers at £250.

I just done another google product search and see that they are now matching the Argos price. I guess the press that Argos sent out caught someone's eye over at Curry's.

But don't forget the £10 voucher back which makes the difference between Currys and Argos
Curry's 229 less 10%(made up of voucher and quidco) = £206
Argos with £10 voucher back = £219

Not much in it, and although I use Quidco a lot it does take a couple of months some times to get your money back.

Either way I'm voting for this machine for it's price(either Currys or Argos) and feature set more than anything else.

A note about this item. Argos are now selling it for £239.99 if you follow the link above, but don't be fooled into buying this through the Argos Sale pages, as it is £263.59 there! The second option does seem to include delivery and fitting but standard delivery is only £5 and most people could fit it themselves! It's no more difficult than plugging a garden hose in.
