It gets a good review in Decanter. While not being top drawer, it was judged very good for the price of £7.99. At £3.99 it's a bargain. Note this is a half bottle (350ml)

There used to be a big stock of it in Basingstoke, until I bought it all. It's tremendous. If you can find the Coteaux du Layon you should get that too.

Lidl in Northampton (the new one near B&Q) also has a decent selection of reduced/discontinued wines for £3.99 - ours were all white (and not dessert though), and had RRPs of between £8 and £10, with some decent online reviews. Guessing a stock clear out!

Its a clear out of the Xmas stock and yep, £3.99 for everything. Some bargains to be had but very store specific.

Indeed, although that mainly consisted of putting it in a basket by the tills. I suspect it had been there for some time before I went in there, having been left over from Christmas.
