looks good, but apart from the backlighting what classifies this as a gaming keyboard? I cant see the extra buttons of the Logitech equivalent for instance. Hot deal none the less.

Saitek has cleverly latched onto the fact that many gamers like to play in the dark. If you’ve ever fired up a scary game with your headphones on, you’ll know how effective a dark environment can be to really draw you into the game.

Taken from the Trusted Reviews site on this keyboard.

I remember playing Quake in the late 90's into the early hours in the dark then coming down next morning to discover in the harsh light of day at least a dozen empty beer cans strewn around my chair.

Thought the same thing to be honest, was going to pop to the store tomorrow... 497 in stock on the web. I'll call them in the morning, if they don't have any in the store then I'll order off the web I guess.

great deal voted hot and ordered.

There is one thing that I don't understand:
Calling this a "gaming keyboard", why don't they remove the Windows keys,or at least relocate them else where? You know how annoying it could be to be popped out of the game when you pressed that windows key accidentally?

Just use their online stock checker

None in stock at my maplins, but hopefully they might get more in. Voted hot

I have the eclipse II and while the keyboard is good and tactile i find the backlight to be a bit too dim unless you put it on purple colour instead of blue or red.
#35
I wouldnt trust the stock checker to much though so ring before you go instore , as when i went in for cctv it said they had 3 items instore but when i arrived they had none.
#36
i have the eclipse II - great keyboard!

Not sure about this keyboard but Ive got the Logitech G15 gaming keyboard and although thats got a windows key theres also a switch for 'gaming mode' which disables the windows key to stop that from happening. Would've thought this would have the same feature.
#38
is the one in this deal with "etched" keys ? I have read some places the characters rub off on this after a while.
#39
I've had this keyboard for a while now, its great really good quality, tempted to buy another for a spare
Mine lights up in red and can be set to low, bright or off
