Bring the K800i with you and you have a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, built-in xenon flash and image and video stabilizer function ready for any moment, anytime. And a 3G phone for sharing your pictures. Instantly.

Get the best picture
With the K800i, it's hard to take a bad picture. Get the picture you want with BestPic(TM). The unique thing about this feature is that 4 of the resulting images were shot immediately before the camera key is pressed to complete the shot, and 4 immediately after. Pick the best. Delete the rest.

Enhanced imaging
A built-in xenon flash unit gives you real photographic light where lighting conditions are not optimal and K800i eliminates red eye making sure that the pictures you take are simply the best. A camera stabilizer function compensates any small movement of your hand when you're taking a picture and shooting video.

Blog this
When you've taken a photo, you can share it straight away using Bluetooth(TM), multimedia messaging or blog it. Take a photo add text and send it to a blog site. The site is created the first time you blog a photo and in return get a text message with the Web address and log in data. Send the address to friends and share your life in pictures.

Take and print
On each side of the 2'' QVGA color screen you have photo keys to make using your K800i camera phone easy. For printing, the K800i supports the PictBridge standard. Connect the phone directly to a PictBridge-compliant printer using the USB cable and print your photos without a PC.

3G makes it possible
With proven 3G technology built-in, mobile Web browsing, photo blogging, downloading of multimedia content and video calling become a pleasant experience. Visit real internet sites with the Access NetFront(TM) browser and subscribe to automatic news updates with RSS Feeds. Multitask with K800i. Very good price indeed.

Tempted to upgrade - does anyone know if you can get these easily unlocked (my friend said people do it on ebay now but not with every phone)??
#5
Good find. thanks!
#6
This is an excellent price for this phone on PAYG.

For those asking about unlocking, it costs 50 Euros about £35 at the moment.
#7
Minus £2.50 quidco.
#8
Vodafone can unlock your handset, for a cost of £19.99.

To get the phone unlocked, either call Customer Services on 191, or go to www.vodafone.co.uk, then contact us. Send a quick email that includes
* mobile number
* IMEI number
* Handset make and model

FANTASTIC phone, BRILLIANT Camera. This has to be the best phone I have ever used. Shame about it being on the terrible vodafone network with the worst branding of the OS I have ever seen. You can get this debranded for around £5 and unlocked via ebay for around £10.

This is a DB2020 platform phone, I don't think you can get it done for £10 on ebay. If Col is right with Vodafone unlocking it for £19.99, then that is a good price.
#11
Yep it can be unlocked on ebay, I unlocked my freinds, you can only get them unlocked on ebay for vodafone and o2 networks though for some reason. :o

#12
And yep col is right, vodafone will unlock the phone for £19.99 but I think you have to have it for at least 30 days on their network.

Hope this helps.

especially interesting when you look on ebay for these phones most go fro £130+ and they are more often than not used.

ive been watching the price for a while, this might push the ebayers down a bit too, with any luck
#14
I wouldnt touch a used ebay K800i when its £150 brand new with full warranty. Unless its half this price and less than 3 months old which isnt going to happen.
#15
Is it this one or the 750i that there are a lot of complaints about the lens cover falling off?
#16
Don't think its the k800i, the build quality is brilliant
#17
?

never heard of it with K800i or K750i tbh
#18
mates lens cover has broken off twice, but he does chuck it about a bit, so wouldn't concern me. If you spend £100+ on a gizmo you should give it some respect, contract upgrades & 'free' phones remove that attachment.
#19
I'd get this if it was on the Orange network - with a bit of luck Carphone Warehouse will drop their price to around £150 for the new buyers guide out in Feb on the Orange PAYG K800i they have currently a t £179:whistling:

Thanks for bringing it back to life emma :)
#22
So does anyone know if I can unlock this phone without ringin the network? Thanks

You can but the solutions arn't cheap for these models just yet. You're looking at £20 for the Vodaphone code off eBay or up to £35 in a shop.

These are definately locked to Vodaphone BTW as mine arrrived yesterday. The phone is great but it's the size of a tank so I think I'll be selling mine on.
#24
I personally would of gotten this if it was thinner, SE are lagging behind Nokia, Motorola, Samsung etc when it comes to thin candybar phones.
#25
i heard someone say you can get it debranded,is this where you remove the vodafone sign on it,how do you do this and where do you get it done for £5.

basically i want this phone on 02,but i would accept it on vodafone ONLY because i know it can get unlocked, but then again if i get it on vodafone, iv gota make sure i can get it debranded.someone please help, wheres the cheapest i can get it
#26
If you want it on o2 and de branded I would recommend looking here
https://shop.o2.co.uk/phone/Sony_Ericsson/K800i

Ok so its 199.99 but less with quidco and comes with a 1gb memory card which is 26.99 at play.com.
All considered it must be worth the extra imo

is the size of it really that bad? I was thinking of getting it. All the reviews seem to say it's a great phone and the only bad thing is it's a bit thick.. is it something you can live with? decisions decisions!
#28
Its about average size for its spec really not that big, no bigger than nokia n73 if not slightly smaller

look here for loads of pictures and measurements

Yep I have to agree on that, had this mob for near 6 months now, dropped it a couple of times onto a solid kitchen floor and its none the worse for it  I rarely bother taking pics on hol, but last Sept I came back with tons simply because I always had my mob with me, xlnt kit imho, slightly bulkier than the norm but having said that you aren't lugging a camera and mob about.
#30
can anyone confirm you can get the vodafone one debranded

would you loose your warranty if you got it unlocked
#31
Yes you can get the phone debanded, which would lose your warrenty, unlocking it doesnt.

#32
where do you get it debranded, for the price of it all together, getting it unlocked and debranded and phone of course its probs cost more than the carphone warehouse deal thats on for 179.or would it not.
#33
Unlocking this handset costs around £15 and debrand is £6.50 so yes I would go for sim free cpw deal. Also be aware that if the vodafone K800i's are the new version (CID51) as apposed to the older (CID49) these cannot be unlocked as of yet.

was thinking of buying a k800i locked to the t mobile network and then getting a virgin media sim card,do you know if these are compatible, because the phone is locked.but then again virgin and t mobile close partners arent they.can anyone confirm this
#35
I have had loads of phones, and everytime I have bought a T-mobile phone, it has worked 100% with Virgin. Virgin runs off the T-Mobile network.

Hope this helps.

VERY tempting indeed. I am on a voda pay as you go, I presume this slots right in with no hassle yes?

Only buying it for the camera, save me carrying my camera to rugby league matches.
Is quidco on this deal also?

Anyone got a good deal for a 1gb or 2gb mem card for this baby also please?
