They claim on the comments on amazon that it's just under 13Kg. 15.5Kg is probably boxed weight.

And one of the reviews on Amazon says its just over 15K...... which is probably right with about 1/2 a kilo for the cardboard box.

Well with the pattern on it, they are trying to make it look like Garmin Sharp! Not that I think the UCI will approve this bike.

This has saved me £1.5k, was going to treat myself to a Rose bike, but I think I'll get this ;)

What's the right height for that frame size?

Decathlon. Probably a Rockrider for about £100 would suit your first bike in a while (assumption). Sturdy enough and they normally throw in a first free service after a few months.

Plus the advantage of Decathlon is you can try them out in the shop and they hire staff who know about that sport into that department.

Also nice one for getting into biking - but warning; you can become obsessed very quickly.

OMG- this bike thing is a nightmare! I have started to go on road rides- 10miles, so not massive but it's a start, but I also go over fields with the kids, am I going to have to buy 2 bikes? Budget around £400- total not each. Any advise pls.

I spent £800 on a road bike as I was going to do 100+ mile, multi-day events.
If you're doing just general riding, you will need a road bike, but £200-£300 is fine if you're not going to do that much.

"You get what you pay for", so semi serious £800-1000 is all you need to spend. A bit more then casual, £400-600.

But, there's SO many to choose from, read independent reviews, don't trust Amazon reviews, use the online bike mags.

I bought this bike a year back from amazon for just £120. Might be worth hanging around for this offer again.
It is a fairly decent bike and does everything required to get into cycling. Worth a purchase if this is your first road bike. Otherwise avoid.
