I have the PS3 version otherwise I'd likely be buying. Good fun, best batman game I've ever played.

Eh?
While it's true thay have some occasional good deals - most of the prices are laughable. Borderlands GOTY edition is "on sale" at £29.99 while the RRP is £19.99 and readily available online for £13.99.

Just Cause2 is another example - £29.99 on Steam, £6.99 at Gameplay - guess where I picked mine up from?

I do buy way too many games from Steam these days though oO. The Monkey Island complete pack was too good to miss at under £4,,,,

Must resist this deal....

Well worth the deal!
Xbox 360 achievements included as well.

I think this was on sale once during the christmas sales I think... can anyone remember the price?

I have no time to play all these games and I'm wondering whether I should see how low it'll dip in the future as I'm realistic about it just sitting in my steam list for months and months. :P
#8
Its the same price as retail now. The christmas price was £14,99
#9
Good game but it would have to be more like £4.99 as I completed half of it on 360.

Basically, since Steam can take away all or some of your games at any time without needing to supply any reasonable kind of justification (and this happens to people all the time), I only buy games from them if they're cheap enough to think of as rentals. Which they sometimes are.

I'd still be bloody annoyed if they cancelled my account for any reason, though.

Awesome game, one of the best I played this year.

Given that some games (such as the recent Civ V) REQUIRE you to use Steam, surely that's not entirely correct?

It's £9.95, in stock and delivered at "My Memory"
£9.99 at four other online retailers.
Why mess about downloading, get it in your hands.

This is untrue. They have never taken away a game I've paid for. You have the chance to back it up. If the game is removed from the store, it still remains in your library, ready to download....

Good price but I could never get into this game unfortunately, and I tried a few times.

They could ban your account and thus access to your Steam registered games.
#18
Can they actually do that?

I know they can ban you for cheating but I just assumed they would only ban you from using the online game functionality.

That is true. But I would be mortified if I was banned from all my purchases just for using graphic mods. I use them on Morrowind, Grid and Half Life 2 (Cinematic Mod), but nothing I play online just in case VACS decides to pick them up as cheats.

Actually £12.95 and out of stock, this deal is for the "GOTY Edition", not the plain one. Much more at Amazon.

awesome game, shame i dont have time to play it

banning you for cheating is good....microsoft should do it for xboxlive - especially fifa09

fantastic game, and graphics are excellent on PC!

Played it with an xbox controller though! (tough to admit that being a FPS, KB & Mouse veteran)

The Christmas sales usually end up costing an arm and a leg after you have done due to the sheer amount of deals they have.

The only AAA title I've bought full price on Steam in the last six years is the Orange Box. And I thought of that as a rental, too. Just a really, really, expensive one. Credit where it's due, I guess. That would have been worth the money, just for Portal.

Do you have to log in to windows live to play this? and use the same service for registration? Because that would be off putting. >_<
