For those of you that haven't played it - this is a fantastic game
#2
I'm really trying to convince a friend of mine to get it. His reason for not getting it is 'because'.

I bought this the last time it was on sale on steam (same price) and it's awesome :D
It's got that cool ps2 combat feel. There's a couple of bits that are super weird/super awesome as well
#10
Awesome!, ty for the heads up. Missed the last one.
#11
Got it a while back.
Great game.

Because that was the Square-Enix sale. This is a general steam sale.

how does it play on pc? I had this on ps3 and am tempted to get it. Would a m/kb novice be able to pick up the controls? I have tried breifly and failed at fps on pc..

I've played and completed it on PC. Controls are fine. I'd say the graphics are better than the 360/PS3 versions on max settings.

great game

Been after this for a while, it would be rude not to get it.

Oh gosh.. why do they have to provide an excuse to repeat a popular, lucrative deal?!! oO

Get yourself a cheap xbox 360 pc compatible pad (Play had some for a fiver a while back) and it plays exactly as it would on ps3/360. I didn't like it on m/kb. A decent pc set up will make this game look much better and play smoother than the console version (I have it for PC and PS3 and it is brilliant on both). For this price it's a steal.

what sort of pc settings look the same as console versions? resolution and effectswise.
bit miffed that the specs of arkham city seem to be higher than my laptop even though i think it probably played this game better than on consoles.
to go from better than console to cant run at all seems odd unless there is massive dumbing down for console but none for pc?

Well it's 720p on consoles so that would be a resolution of 1280x720 and the AA turned off would be a close approximation. Previous to my GTX260 I was playing it on a Geforce 8600 with everything on medium at 1024x768 and it looked great. Nowadays have it ramped up to the max at 1440x900 and it really looks amazing!

Some people like closure?

Unless you're being sarcastic. In which case, maybe because this is the only game that they have at the moment that could have such a drastic discount. I would re-buy if I didn't have it on PS3.
#23
I already have this on PS3.. are the graphics enough of an up to get it on PC? (I would be playing at 1080p and max settings)
#24
Steal of a deal for the GOTY edition! Thanks and HOT!
#25
Looks to be a great deal, and I've been thinking of getting this for a while anyway. Thanks OP :)
#26
have this on the 360 and it is the best single player game i have played on it, the levels with the scarecrow are visually amazing.
#27

I had the normal version on xbox and would go as far as to say this is the best single player game i have ever played...along with football manager :-) and grand theft auto vice city...ok and assassins creed 2! you MUST BUY IT! I have even though already completed it...can't wait to see what it looks like on my new six core 1gig graphics card pc as it blew my mind on xbox! at this price a total steal...tell your friends...their friends...thier mums...etc! HOT HOT HOT! I should also point out that while i enjoy the films I do not own a single comic and never have...this is just an awesome game
