:p Fixed. Thanks for posting and looks a great price
PS Added PC to the title; don't want the XBox360/Wii owners getting stressed

It sucks how the PC games are so much cheaper because of Piracy . The demo of this game seems very good I played it on PS3 last week .

Hey..
Don't be jealous now!

Game designers are no longer utilising the potential power of the PC and instead they are limiting themselves to console level. PC gamers have to suffer so a little bit of compensation is not so bad is it? :whistling:

I thought PC games were cheaper because the current generation consoles were sold at a loss? The licensing fee to sony/MS/Nintendo means the price is inflated.

So you get cheaper, inferior hardware but more expensive games.

I own both a 360 and PC, some games are just better on certain platforms! Couldn't play and FPS or RTS on a console but love playing driving, sports and fighting games on console over PC.

Anyway, good deal for the game, will download the demo now, if I like it I'll get the full game at this price! Heat added.

I agree  FPS/RTS is best with a keyboard and mouse. All other types of games are better on consoles.

Super hot! Just the right price for me

didn't know this was on PC as well

It is not because of piracy.

Console games are more expensive because the hardware is heavily subsidised and each publisher has to pay back a percentage to Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo/whoever. PC gamers buy the hardware at how much it is worth or more which prevents them having to buy games at a subsidised cost. A good thing to bear in mind when deciding on a games system, you have to factor in the long term costs that the subsidised console games incur upon you.

Also, guess what, console games get pirated too. SHOCK HORROR!

I cannot find any evidence to suggest it's delayed until September. Please provide a link showing your source. All the main retailers list 28 August 2009 as PC release date.

And with Quidco too. Makes it £15 something. By the way, this game works extremely well with the Xbox controller for windows. Not tried it with mouse and keyboard, but friend says it works ok with that too. There wasn't much of a difference between PC and PS3 versions. PC graphics sharper and PC sound on 7.1 is great. If you have Xbox controller for PC then controls are pretty similar between PC and PS3 versions.

Download the PC demo.
It tells you the release day after you complete it and watch the end trailer.
I was shocked for it to say due out 18th September.
Im going for the 360 version but I have give this heat as it is a great deal for a great game.

Thanks. Something to bear in mind then. Here's hoping it's end of August.

Shouldnt make a difference! Physix is availble by the CPU, basically the nvidia cards offload the work from the cpu which is kinda pointless due to the fact the gpu is the main limiting factor a pc for gaming now a days. Ati cards can use phyisx with modding as it is only driver level and not hardware level(to a degree) and we got havok :P.

I had the demo a week now and forgot to play it, will be giving it a go in a few.

PhysX (tm) is Nvidia's tech. You won't get it on ATI cards.

Its been tried and tested that it does work :P, just not officially which is why its not used often as youd need to edit drivers etc(was on a review website). It is a big marketing thing though as it provides no real benefit, it slows down alot of games because the gpu is lagging and it causes the cpu to sit idle.

great game.. played the demo.. can't wait until the game is release not long now/...

i played the demo and couldn't stand it

but as far as price goes it'd be hard to find a cheaper copy at the moment
+ heat

It's been delayed because they are worried that people will pirate the PC version and this will in turn eat into thier console sales if it is released same day. There are some publications that already have the Full RC PC version for review purposes.

The offical reason why it's been delayed is for Nvidia Physx additions to the game

However the demo already has this present so it is nothing other than a fib

If you have a ATI card don't worry the game will still work, just without the physx

Really stupid reason if you ask me. Capcom has been doing it all year with it's releases for SFIV, Bionic Commando and Resident Evil 5

It's a two week delay so I can suffice

Sorry, but you're very wrong here,
Whilst Phsyx can run on a the CPU, it turns off a lot of details in the physics calculations because of the sheer load they'd impose on the CPU rendering the game unplayable, there were parts of Mirrors Edge which were completely unplayable if hardware physx were enabled in the game and there wasn't supporting hardware present.

It WAS going to be possible run an ATI and an Nvidia card alongside each other in Windows 7, but Nvidia have decided to disable Phsyx acceleration completely if there is a non-Nvidia graphics part present, which is very unhelpful on their part.

Benchmarks of Cryostasis (PhysX heavy game) with various configs - http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,685496/Cryostasis-reviewed-Graphics-cards-and-Physx-benchmarks-of-the-DX10-game/Practice/

Notice how badly all the Radeons do? with a 3.5Ghz i7 driving them even.... and that's purely down to the extra calculation load of a PROPER Physx implementation (rather than just using the API middleware to do basic stuff that games have been doing for years and years, it actually extends upon that quite some way)

Arkham Asylum uses Phsyx in all its states, stuff like Batman's cape is a simple example, but it kicks up a notch with hardware acceleration, adding lots of little details like cobwebs deforming as you walk through them.

Quite liked the demo, not abd for a stealth em up.

The brawling seemed a bit basic, you can just bash the mouse button to knock everyone out, the stealth bits were cool though, the xray vision kinda made it really easy though.

Maybe harder difficulties disable this, but I would have preferred to do more sneaking, looking around corners to see enemies etc.

What about strategy games, simulation games, puzzle games and adventure games?

Super hot price!! I really want this game it's just a shame my PC has trouble even running Minesweeper at full res let alone Arkham! If only it was that price on PS3... :D

Ordered!

Loved the demo, but I've a sneaky feeling the game is going to get a bit repetitive very quickly :)

Hopefully not though! Definitely the best price around atm and I can't imagine it'll drop that much more anytime soon after it's released?

Thanks.
