Went to Morrisons Camden looking for Lego Rockband, came out with Arkham Asylum instead!

Thought it wasn't bad at £10 so pleasantly surprised to see it was only £5 on the receipt (it says X360 5842 £5). This is standard edition.

Have noticed that Morrisons come out with hot deals on games from time to time. The only problem is that each time i've seen a deal they have only 1 or 2 on the shelves.

I recently finished this game and was a disappointed. I was used to Gears Of War with Chapters and Acts so you knew how far into the game you were. With Arkham I was getting quite excited as I passed the halfway mark (you get a X percentage on screen every time you re-enter the game). I took the percentage as firm proof of how far I was through the game. Things were getting a little more difficult and wow half the game remained to be played out..."this is going to be great" I thought. Then all of a sudden I defeat a significant boss (not to spoil it for anyone) and Bam! the story wraps up and thats that. I think it must be that the game 'accessories' of finding this and that actually make up your progress percentage through the game. I hadn't really been keen to waste my time (as I see it) wandering around collecting trophies. I was wanting to aim my attention at the story and play that and enjoy it. And then with hindsight all of the Titan enemies were really a rerun each time. quick batarang, dodge, strike. I'm still much of a gaming noob so perhaps I'm preaching to the converted.

Hot deal all the same.

If this is true that deal is smoking, if you haven't already played Arkham Asylum you won't go wrong for £5 fantastic game.

"you collect all the trophies to catch the riddler"
oh dear me another loose end I've left.

A quikkie...I often saw large question marks and when scanned normally said something like it could only be partially seen? If you understood that (LOL my riddle) how do you get the big question marks accepted / analysed / observed completely?
#12
Great game good price, heat.
#13
Cracking, will go hunting for this tomorrow

CEX are presently giving £10 trade in(instore credit) therfore gamestation will beat that by a £1 giving u £11 pound to spend instore if there is nothing you want/need at the moment you could get the credit loaded onto a card and get something when you want it or need it

not a bad idea spend £5 and get £11

you could even do it multiple times and buy a brand new game for about half price

Hi Guy's
I'll confirm it! Got myself a copy in Edinburgh yesterday. Morrisons seem to keep their best bargains in cardboard game displays seperate to the main chart ones, (sometimes at the end of the aisles). I'd been to 3 stores looking for a rumoured bargain on 'Lips', for the little lady, no signs of a copy. My copy of Batman had it's reduction hand written on the price sticker but I'm guessing staff probably won't have ammended in most stores. Happy hunting!

awesome price, wished there was a morrisons near me. :(
#17
trade this @ cex for £10 or sell for £7 :)

you need to find the '.' to finish the question mark, and line them both up so it forms a complete question mark then take a picture. :)

Oh that Riddler! It's all about positioning yourself to get that complete "?" And that's the beauty about this game, once you've finished with the joker, you've got these other sub-objectives. I'm still keep going back to it.

Heat from me without doubt!

what a game!!

This is a great game, I would happily play through it again, and have my eye open for it on PS3, as I've already played it on 360. £5 would be nice on the PS3!
#22
Only 1 person confirmed this... need more!
#23
anyone succesful at using a mouse and keyboard on an xbox 360? I hate the pad for these type of games!

trade this @ cex for £10 or sell for £7 :)

Or leave it in store for someone that actually wants it, allowing them to get it at a good price, instead of turning a new product in to a used one for the sake of £2 to £5 profit less your effort & time.

I'm sorry. But you are a door handle.
#25
Tried 2 Morrisons, none to be had
#26
Nothing in Chester.
#27
Great game at a great price. One of the only games I've bothered to get all achievements for.
#28
munaaf and rolnics

thanks. I've never noticed the dot anywhere. The best idea i could come up with was to position batman where I thought the dot should be then do the scan. didn't work. so is it like the question mark has been projected onto different planes ( eg a bit on the floor and a bit on a nearby bridge ) and you need to be where the fantasy projector was to see the whole thing.
#29
Meathotukdeals - yeah, that's right, they're usually on seperate surfaces. For example, one of the early ones has the dot just below a window, and the rest of the mark was painted on a wall as you looked out of the window. Just remember, they have to be perfectly aligned before you scan for it to work - it can get very annoying, particularly when you've spent forever finding a tiny little dot somewhere.
#30
just been to my local and it is £7 for the ps3
#31
great game and price.

Solving the Riddler's puzzles was my favourite part of the game.
#32
Just sold mine for £6.75 on eBay, so this is a hot deal! Decent game, too.
#33
Wow very hot price. One of the best games I played last year, was hooked from beginning to end and got all the Riddler's, um... riddles!
#34
not nationwide and only reported by 1 person ... uhhhh .....

OK ta. Big question now is do I do the collecables now or replay on hard difficulty - and this time not miss them out!

Well, having been to buy that in Camden, I went back to see if I could find Lego Rockband in Holloway or Wood Green and am now convinced that Morrisons as a whole have no idea what they're doing on the games front.... Wood Green store had a load of things priced with an old style price gun at completely random prices so just picked up Rock Band 3 for £15. Admittedly it went through the till at £38.99 but after a minute of holding up the queue someone came back and said £15 was fine. Weirdly, the bulk of the Xbox games were in a completely random aisle on a stand alone stand.
#38
Doesn't £5 buy you about 6 weeks worth of food shopping in Morrisons?

I bet they keep this item on a gold plinth in a glass fortress, just to tease the downtrodden shoppers with a glimpse of a better life
#39
Noticed it today for £7.50 as part of blockbuster's upto 50% off pre-owned sale, pre-owned though.

I picked up one of these yesterday and forgot I actually had it already ! Its still sealed so anyone who cant make it to morrisons can have it for cost + postage
