Boxed set including the first four Batman movies.
BATMAN: Inspired by Frank Miller's graphic novel THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, this gothic, Wagnerian treatment of the Batman mythos explains the origins of Batman and his nemesis, the maniacal Joker (a ripe Jack Nicholson), who has sinister plans for the citizens of Gotham City.
BATMAN RETURNS: As the pitiful, orphaned psychopathic freak the Penguin and the power-hungry capitalist villain Max Schreck (named after the actor who played Nosferatu) plot to gain domination over Gotham City, the Caped Crusader battles an equally fatal distraction... Cat Woman.
BATMAN FOREVER: Gotham City is once again under siege, this time by the mind-controlling Riddler and the diabolical Harvey Two-Face. The Caped Crusader cleans up with the help of his new side-kick Robin in this effects-laden thrill ride.
BATMAN AND ROBIN: The Caped Crusader returns to battle the abominable Mr. Freeze and green-thumbed Poison Ivy. To save his ailing wife, Dr. Victor Fries turns to a life of crime after a hideous accident makes him unable to tolerate even moderate temperatures, while Dr. Pamela Isley falls victim to mutated plant DNA when things go awry in a jungle laboratory funded by Wayne Industries. Of course, though their interests are diametrically opposed (Freeze wants another Ice Age; Ivy wants to make the world safe for plants), the two villains team up to defeat Gotham's dynamic duo of Batman and Robin, who are joined by butler Alfred's motorcycle-obsessed niece as Batgirl. And when Alfred is diagnosed as having the same terminal disease as Freeze's wife, the trio find themselves not only fighting an altruistic battle, but a personal one as well. A frenetic, colourful, and often overwhelming sequel to the films that precede it.

Bargain, I predict a very warm morning for this thread!
#2
Why not just buy Batman and save yourselves £15? :-D

very good price for a BD set, cost me more than £30 to import the totally uncut R3 DVD boxset a few years back, R1 USA Uncut boxset cost about £45 at that time which was too much for me so went with R3.

Shame the UK (DVD SE) version of Batman Returns was cut & missing commentary, don't know whether the BD release is the same?

EDIT: just did some reading over on AVF and found out Returns has been resubmitted to BBFC in 2009 and got upgraded from rated 12 to 15, so it's now Uncut.

So all 4 Batman films are now Uncut in the UK, finally movie fans/common sense triumphs over Censorship and BBFC repressive old minds, 17 years later & upgrade from rated 12 to 15, for Returns to get Uncut status, *sigh*

so ordered, hopefully not a mis-price, shouldn't be as Play & Amazon sell the set for only £5 dearer, may be HMV has it on offer for more preorders.

I'm not sure, in this instance, you can blame the BBFC if it could have been uncut but the distributor decided they would make cuts as wanted a lower rating to increase sales to younger kids.

'Batman & Robin' and the word 'decent' are generally unheard of together in the same sentence!

Otherwise, pretty good offer for 4x Blu Ray films.

why the hate for B&R? Arnie's in it, got to love Arnie, "He'll be back", Arnie for President! :-D
#12
Nevermind, totally read this wrong... Saw the 'Dark Knight' bit in the description and assumed that was included

tbh batman and robin as an extension to the old tv show is a better movie than forever which doesn 't know what or where it is.
#14
is this basically a cardboard box with the film cases side by side or have they actually made the effort?
#15
Great price, heat and rep added. Also same price at amazon if that takes your fancy.

Aamzon prices yoyos all the time, still £29.99 last night along with Play, it's like when ever a competitor lowers prices they'll try to match it and beat it by a few pence.

no discounts on amazon for most people, so Quidco for HMV is better than nothing. **PRE-ORDERS, HMV do not charge your card until the goods are dispatched so you will only be eligible for the cashback rate at the time of Shipping**

LOL, apparently not:

I actually missed the delivery on Fri, so had to wait for re-delivery & finally got it on Sat (13th), so well done to HMV for dispatching it to me 7 days before release date (15th), and well done for packaging £25 worth of BluRay boxset much safe than Play, re: Band of Brothers BD tin, (sturdy box vs flimsy cardboard foldpack).
